The simplified answer is that wars are fought by those who have and want more against those who have less or nothing; the have's vs. the have-nots then again, some just like it and if they find someone they can win against they will attack under dozens of excuses; the US has made a habit out of attacking non white peoples who are technologically primitive at best ...one could ask why does that pattern exist, but why bother...
Many times in several wars I've watched troops form up before they attack and all manner of religious clergy are there to give those soldiers some sort of solace before the killing starts. The clergy representatives are from all the major faiths and denominations and all reminded us that killing in war is not a sin, nor a mortal sin so relax and get it together then go forth and kill; kill 'em all and let God sort them out...
Now why is that?? Care to speculate, or should one have experienced the killing and the madness of the moments? Should it be encouraged to continue by those who have survived this madness; would that include the civilian populations to join in? Can it ever be considered "fun" like a sport...I've seen it many times ...what about using napalm of the long lines of refugees fleeing a war zone...all the children and old peoples...should they be Bar-B- Q'ed; is it a "war crime" If civilians are involved, no one goes home without having committed war crimes...so why does it continue and war prevails as the be all, end all experience to live through and to promote?? In a combat melee one doesn't think; one either acts or re-acts until you either die or survive just to repeat it all over again in an hour or the next day and one is only momentarily thankful for having survived until it ends. Yet it continues on and one day it's your children turn...

If someone were hurting me that deep, the legality wouldn't matter.. My ex wife's new husband was following her orders, and messing with me about visitation with my son one time.. Luckily a good swat on the side of his head settled the dust in that matter.. It could have escalated though..

Interestingly, I used to ask a similar question in my training. Would anyone kill someone if they could then reverse time, undo the event, but still retain the process and feelings.

Many people would still not do it, not wish to experience that process, even though they would ultimately not kill anyone.

I voted Yes.and stand by my reasons - With rights go responsibilities so - TO address the case in point

1. If anyone singly or severally enters our home illegally with intent to steal, cause harm or damage in any way, they have breached our legal right to privacy Ownership and human rights.

2. Therefore equally they have forfeited any rights they have by that illegal entry however gained.

3. We therefore- have the equal rights to do whatever it needs to protect and defend ourselves and our property by any method to the extent of killing them.

I would do it as I trained the necessary skills long ago and have the ability, mentality and necessary weapons to do so should the need arise.

Legal or illegal, if someone causes "pain/damage" to some of the people I love specially I´m capable of anything, and I mean it.

How sad, that half or so of the voters already have a person they would kill if it wasnt illegal...

I want to say, hurt me or my loved ones and I MIGHT kill ... but that would then be considered self defence and that's another story...

Years back had a strong hate for some one who was actually only mentally sick, got over it & think we loose TOO MUCH energy hating others...dont give them a space in your head, thats doing THEM & not yourself a favour
