As a player, he was an amateur with Queen's Park,so money wasn't a factor. Rangers turfed him out because he wasn't good enough. He was a journeyman player; no better than that. He was never in a position to gripe about money.
As a manager, he got offered better jobs when he was at East Stirling and Aberdeen. He fell out with St Mirren because, I believe, the directors there were largely muppets.
I am always suspicious of posters who say "Fact". that generally means it's not a fact.
He may be a miserable git and a bully, but the guy's record speaks for itself. He made a provincial side in Scotland the best in the country (when will we ever see that again up here?) and winners of the Euro Cup Winners Cup, and he's taken Man U to heights that no one else has. Like him or loathe him, he does exactly what he's paid to do. Win.
