sweetowen: I've heard Fells Point is great. Believe it or not, I've never been to Inner Harbor! My aunt & uncle even lived just outside of it in Cockeysville.

My friend lives just south in Timonium. Cockeysville is about a 30 minute drive to downtown Baltimore.

Fells Point on a Saturday night is really crazy. You see a little bit of everything...laugh

Thank goodness Johns Hopkins Hospital is a block away!

wixomwizard: OMG, I have'nt heard of anyone gettin crabs, since my old Navy day's....Seriously, Baltimore sounds great! I love crab and lobster. A Oriole's game soungs good too. I went t one at the old stadium, years ago.

I practically grew up in Memorial Stadium watching the O's.

The new stadium is awesome! In right field, you can purchase a standing room only ticket for $5 and Boog's BBQ is right there too...the ribs and BBQ are incredible, and you might catch a homerun.

Johns Hopkins reminds me of the time I got lost, driving myself & my daughter to Ocean City, MD. I ended up in the SLUMS of Baltimore & pulled into a McDonald's to ask for directions. This older gentleman was coming out. I asked him how to get to OC from there. He said I could take 695 to 95 & go over the bridge in Annapolis. I said, "Ooohhh, I don't like big bridges!" So he said, "Well, it's either that or the tunnel." I opted for the bridge. He offered to lead me out of town, to the highway. I said I just needed to use the ladies room real quick & I'd be ready. Then he said, "You'll need one of these" & pulled some tokens out of his pocket. I said, "You need to PAY to go to the bathroom??" He told me no, they were to keep the drug dealers out. wow uh oh

Then, he barrelled through Baltimore, past the hospital. I could barely keep up!! We ended up having about 7 bridges to cross! I was a total MESS til we got there. I quickly mixed myself a STRONG drink before my daughter & I went to the boardwalk. Felt much better too. wine thumbs up

I enjoy AC. Haven't really had any problems down there either. Had a bum ask for spare change, but I didn't give him any.

What an ordeal! I bet you hated to cross over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge...that is a long tall scary one! And they have the water drainage grates in the middle of the lane so you can see all the way down to the water.

They have something called a bridge walk. I would love to do it but I am afraid of heights!

The OC boardwalk is so cool...so much to do.

I keep hearing how cool the OC nightlife is, but have never stepped foot into one of the bars there. When I went down with my friends over Senior Week, I was too young (age limit was 18 & I & another girl were only 17). Then when I was of age, I had my daughter.

I'm going to leave this up for a few more days, in case anyone didn't get to vote. Then I'll let everyone know what the pick was.

keep in mind that if Va beach wins nothing goes on until the summer months. I know ive lived here for 19 years. So anytime from june to early sept. its more fun then but it cost alot more and ud have to make ur res. now if you want to stay anywhere decent in the city. otherwise you'll end up somewhere in norfolk... in the fall there is the neptune festival and that is alot of fun and the weather is still nice.

Sweet. When are you or we going to decide the location?

Don't ever drive in Pittsburgh if you hate bridges. Way too many of those in the city for you, and it seems you always have to go over them. "Three Rivers" is a reality here, and creates many more than three bridges. laugh

I live less then an hour from A.C.. If Atlantic City is picked stay in one of the hotel-casinos. Anything a block away is run down. When it was put on the ballot to have casino gameling in A.C. The selling point was they would revitalize the city. The city is run down but not bad to go to.
