I think it depends hugely on culture, in some societies family influence is extremely strong, and going it causes problems whether you love the person or not.

My gosh,I don't think it is worth suicide,lmao...If the parents do not accept the girlfriend,you have to think about your future.Your parents wont be around forever,and your the one who will be with the girl,not them.If they don't accept her,just try to keep them away from each other..dunno

In my opinion, it's YOUR life, not your parents life. HOWEVER, I do understand there is a cultural difference in ideology, so that being said, I would recommend following your cultures beliefs because, after all, your culture, is a part of who you are.

Its hard being a parent and having to stand back when something just eats at ya that this gal isnt what she tries to make out she is..

I never said a word as I respected my sons space and feelings but I knew I would be the one hurting more than him and he found out eventually for himself in the long runcheering

Parents that have reservations are the peeps that want the best for their sons or daughters..

I didnt care if she picked up dogs balls for a living in a park..

Just dont try and play my sons for foolscheering
