I grew up with the Jackson5 and Michael was a great star, just a little kid with a great voice. Everyone loves kids! He split from the family and did his own thing. I did not follow with him. I never cared for "Thriller" or anything else he ever did.

As a child performer, he was good. In his wierdo adult life, I cared for him not.

Just my honest humble opinion. Like a$$holes, everyone has one. HL

Absoluteley loved his Talent...he made SO many people Happy, including myself.....
His Private life I will not talk about, none of my business, WE have lost a "King"....just as we lost "Elvis"

I find it hard to mourn the passing of a human being who had turned himself into a parody of what he could have been yet never was - a man.

It is not for us to judge a tortured soul, but the man had a huge reputation for failing to pay his way and was subject to a huge number of legal cases for failing to honour contracts.

The unproven charges of child molestation left a very nasty taste in the mouth yet many fans were happy to ignore the likelihood that the man was not only a fruitcase but a possible danger to vulnerable young people - the sight of him dangling his child from a Berlin hotel showed how sick he was.

You do know he had a heart attack and died an hour or so ago...?

I have said on another thread that I find it sickening that people can be forgiven any bad behavior if they are talented and famous enough.

I loved him too. Very sad news.

The man was a legend.. He was my first ever concert to see when i was about 9. Was always a fan and still am, but secretly when i got into my heavier music later in life! I often drum away to his songs and his work has inspired me in many ways.. Sure he caused alot of controversy, but i dont care about his private life or anyone elses for that matter, his talent and genius touched me, and thats all i care about.. Take it handy michael, your legacy will live on and thats a fact.
