There is only one means that can save a persons soul from entering hell..Going to hell is easy just go through life and do nothing with Christ..Salvation and condemation are both legal postitions.
For the wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. [ Romans 6:23 ]
You cannot earn eternal life by acts of humanity, good deeds,thoughts, church attendence, following the Ten commandments, being truthful, kind, compassionate,loving,generous,and unselfish. Eternal Life is a gift.
When Jesus died on the cross He died for your sins, for every person the would ever live, but this pardon is of no use unless you are willing to by faith receive this gift of pardon that the Savior died for. Upon receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, there is a legal change in your position in the eyes of God.
This is why the scriptures declare, And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.[ John 5:11-12 ] Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." [ John 3:36 ]
Upon placing our faith in Christ we truly cross over from eternal death and damnation to eternal life and restored fellowship with God "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. [ John 5:24 ] Again the scriptures points to the two legal positions and conditions of those who receive or reject Gods plan of salvation.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. [ John 3: 17-18 ]
When Jesus spoke these words “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” [ John 14:6 ] Jesus was speaking of the legal positions of humans and the judicial acts and provisions made by God to provide salvation of the human being. There is no other means or provision under heaven which fulfills God requirements of the law and satisfies the demand of justice and righteousness of God. Life eternal is solely or exclusively through and by faith in Jesus Christ.Thus the scriptures declare,Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved [ Acts 4:12 ]
Every man and woman comes into this life physically born. But
God warns us that even though we are physically alive we are walking around spiritually dead.......
And you were (spiritually dead ) dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world . . . Eph. 2:1-2
We need to be spiritually born....., 'You must be born again.'") John 3:4-7
