I don't know the first one either, but I disagree with you about why Alicia Keys gets better marketing. Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Diana Summers, Bionce...I could keep going. There have been many female black singers/songwriters who have made it to the truly big time. India Arie needs to get a better manager if she's got that much talent and isn't making it to being as big as she should. Don't use it as a race issue, because it's not. There are many talented white singers/songwriters who don't make it as big as they should either.
