Without doubt in my mind, drugs and the destruction it causes permeates all aspects of our society, from prolonging the war on Taliban by virtue of funding them from from the vast poppy fields of Afghanistan.
The violent crimes committed through need of users to obtain a continual supply for their fix.
The violent crimes committed by users high as a kite.
The strain onhealth services.

Need I go on, I am oppossed to the death penalty myself but the liberal sentences to drug smuggling in "liberal" is no deterrent.

how about treating the real issue instead of attempting to cure the symptom.

People take drugs for a reason, fix that and you don't have a drug problem...

Yeah but which is cause and which is effect, how can society offer a fairer society when people dont feel safe to walk the streets so they become victims of a drug culture due to fear of facing the reality that surounds them, if nipped in the bud socially and ecomnomically things may have a chance to reverse the trend or do we carry on with a liberal approach and divert the economy of major nations into the hands of drug barons, further impoverishing the already victims.

okay, first quick idea, take all their things, then put them in covered open bared cages on public display for one year. they do 10 hrs hard labor during the day, and at night they are in their cage at the Merci of the community. after a year of this the members of the community get to decide what happens, another year, death, freedom....?conversing dunno

Now, Is the problem those who sell it, or those who take it?
Even doctors are prescibing medication that people get addicted too.
Or those who are alcoholics, who feed their needs at any corner store.
I'm thinking it's not those who sell the product but those who feel they cannot exist without it.
