It's easy to get despondent with online dating but no, I don't think you should give up at all.

You haven't explained why you feel like giving up dating so I took a look at your profile. All looks good. I was intrigued that you said there you were quite fussy. There's nothing wrong with that, but might be off putting to women who would otherwise confidently contact you. Same goes with the cycling - I'm sure it's a big interest for you, but is it paramount she enjoys it as well? What other interests do you have? It might be good to mention them too.

I can only assume that you have looked at a lot of profiles here and no-one does it for you yet. I'm sure that you'll meet the right gal for you, here or elsewhere. The best advice I can offer is that if you know specifically what you are looking for & what you aren't, you'll spot her when you see her.

I know what you mean, I have women contacting me, wanting to get to know me, then either cancelling the date or not showing up. Seems the only dependable women are those that are as big around as they are tall, a big turnoff for me.

Attractive shouldn't have anything to do with fit, there are a lot of beautiful women out there that are average, curvy, few extra pounds, etc. and they are very sexy. Once you see that you wont have to give up looking.
