Well, I think people should be able to bear arms. But, like with everything there should be limits. Also I think, there be some sort of safety course taught to all people, regardless if they own a firearm or not. Most accidents occur because of a lack of knowledge.

limits i disagree to an extend, but i do agree in the saftey course, in Florida to get your concealed carry you have to take a 4 hour saftey course and they then take you to the range and show you how to safely handle a firearm

Right, I mean I think it would be good if they taught some kind of course at schools for example. They teach sex education to be safe with that, so why not with firearms? I think it is useful education for a child. Knowing not to put your finger on the trigger unless you tend to shoot it, is an extremely valuable and simple point that should be educated to everyone. The amount of people that pick up a firearm and automatically put their finger right on the trigger is unbelievable.

And as for limits, I don't think its anything extreme, but I don't think a person needs to own a RPG or a .50cal machine gun. laugh
well idk because it is nice to keep the government on their toes and owning an rpg will defenitely keep them on their toes, but for civilian use i do agree on those limits, and i definetly agree with that everyone imediatly goes for the trigger and point at people too,

Having grown up in a large family, with guns readily accessable for hunting, target practice, varmint repellant, we learned gun safety, and respect at a very young age. The great outdoor grocery store, market, put great meals on the table year round, of the season, its game legally hunted. Coyotes, woodchucks, were a bonus for practice, and just how far you could reach out, and touch something. Never had much crime in the neighborhood, or town, back then, but as the ski industry grew, so did no hunting signs, and crime. Moved out of there some time ago, but arms, and safe went with me. My home is still crime free, I still hunt, and I'm happy as hell those leftist don't want to arm themselves. The way they quick draw the horns on their cars, at the least little thing would have me worried if they thought they could use a gun.laugh

I enjoy target shooting and I use to teach gun safety. As a teen I always had a 22cal. The sad thing is it is a different generation and more dangerous people in the world. Rights have a limit for the benefit of all.
If bears don't have arms how can they eat or juggle chain-saws?

I vote yes! Bears should be able to keep their arms.

Or is that just paranoia rather than friendly

The founders of our country placed this in the constitution for one simple reason, to protect themselves from another dictator and a government that goes out of control. This would make it illegal to regulate any weapon that our military currently has.

Do I want to see most Americans carrying M4's down the street, absolutily not. Also the idea of any gang member stealing a rocket launcher is a scarry thing as well.

When the government decides to subjugate all of us, one of the very first things they will do is come for our guns. Don't be surprised if it will be in the next 4 to 5 years.

To be honest I believe in the right to keep and bear arms. with that said there is a certain segment of any society that should never be allowed to own or carry a firearm. I believe and I work in the field I see the resault of gun violence. There should be a Mental requirement + a background requirement, for everyone that is allowed to cary a firearm. I see the down side of hunting here I tell everyone that hunts on my place that they make a good shot and a clean kill. I don't like seeing an animal suffer that goes for being shot and left to die from a bad shot or dieing of starvation from overpopulation and not enought food for the number of animals. But not only guns can do that I have seen deer staggering around here with an arrow stuck in them just waiting to die of gang green from the infection because some hunter didn't take the time to learn to shoot his bow and wounded it in the upper leg or rear quarters. But for the people that can carry a gun they should be allowed to . cheers

It's probably a little of both, but it works.
