No seasonal affective disorder, but have been suffering great after being permanently disabled, the results of an auto accident and L.A.D, Liberals Affecting Disabled. Between that, and the elderly, they've enslaved the independent lives of them, and America does not have a clue how they are stealing you blind off their backs.

I DEFINITELY have SAD ... I realised that a long time ago. I cant cope with cold weather and gloom - it makes me feel a bit miserable and depressed. But now we are heading into summer and that's beautiful .. it makes me feel alive and energetic grin
My parents moved us all out from the UK when I was a small child as my mother hated the cold too laugh

I guess I have ASD...Always Summer Disorder !! dancing

It doesn't suck to be happy all the time ! peace yay
Even when I lived in Minnesota during the winter, I always made the home cheerful with bright colors and shiny things. Then I found things to do.It never bothered me because I never stopped to think about it. Life is too short to be depressed because of cold weather and cloudy days. Make the best of them!! applause angel

Hugs to you wall2 and a warm cup of coffee. beer (Okay this isn't coffee, but think of it as a nice cup of cocoa with whipped cream). angel

I used to suffer from S.A.D. when I lived in England. That was a big reason why I left to live in sunnier parts of the world. I haven't thought about it for years.

It wasn't like a depression though. I didn't feel unhappy. Frustrated perhaps, as I just wouldn't function as well intellectually during the winter. I wasn't as creative or brilliant. It's my mental faculties that I rely on most.

At one point, when I lived in England, I did a stint at art school. (I already had my masters, but I did this this undergraduate course mostly for fun.). I was careful to choose subjects in the summer and winter semesters that allowed me to work within my limitations during the winter. Or take advantage of my accelerated abilities during the summer. Creative subjects in the summer. Academic turn-the-handle subjects in the winter. I could probably achieve higher scores on these in the summer - but I can pass academic stuff with my eyes closed, and I didn't want to be too challenged in the winter - I knew my limitations.

I had a special S.A.D light box. I'm not sure if it did any good or not. It was certainly no substitute for a season change.

The summer was always a creative and exhausting time. Trying to achieve as much as I could while I was able. I often had insomnia too - not able to switch off properly.
