ali110: condoms are birth control purpose also good against viruses
That's a nice theory, Ali, but the truth is actually far different. Most boxes of condoms tell you that they are between 90 & 99% effective against pregnancy. But when you factor in the that pregnancy on happens in a small fraction of unprotected sexual encounters, that number jumps dramatically for viruses.
It's also important to note - for all my safety conscious friends - that MANY viruses are transmitted without intercourse, by the mouth, by the hands, by simple body contact. USERS BEWARE! Condoms give you a false sense of security.
NOT that I think they shouldn't be used, but education and monogamy is a far better bet against disease.
