RE: How Colourful Is Your Life?

that would be the colour of people's faces who are around at the time of the release. giggle

RE: How Colourful Is Your Life?

Depends on whether it's a wet one or a dry one. laugh

RE: How Colourful Is Your Life?

Why would writing in colour imply you have something to hide? I don't type in colour. No reason other than it's never occurred to me, but I enjoy seeing "colourful" sentences.

My bedroom walls are a pale lavender which is very soothing. The rest of my home the walls are white but my furniture and accessories add the colour.

I would love to have a turquoise anorak! Believe it or not, it's difficult to find winter outerwear (unless it's for skiing, etc) that is not black or grey. Dull, dull, dull!! My beret is black with a faux lamb trim so it's larger than the traditional French beret.

P.S. I wonder if our conversation will make it on the twitter feed?!! laugh

RE: How Colourful Is Your Life?

Quite colourful! My winter coat is magenta which is accompanied with a turquoise scarf around my neck. My winter sweaters are all jewel tones except for the one black sweater. In summer, tops in yellow, various shades of blues, coral, etc. are part of my wardrobe. Even though this part of Canada gets a lot of sunshine, colour is so uplifting especially in winter when the days are short. wine

RE: 4 More Years Of Trudeau

Lee Charming - perfect example of someone who read a headline and now believes he's well informed.

We have the minority government I was hoping for four years earlier.

RE: What's One Thing You Have Done?

Four years ago, four of us hiked the Chilkoot Trail. We wore and carried good hiking gear and couldn't imagine how they managed it during the gold rush.

RE: What is your Motto in life...

that reminds me of something I once heard: "Good girls go to heaven, but bad girls go everywhere." laugh

RE: Do you really know what you want?

I think what we want from life changes as we grow within ourselves and as we mature. In the last year I discovered a new path that had absolutely never even occurred to me. It's exciting and terrifying at the same time. Yes I think we do sabotage ourselves consciously and unconsciously. A lot has to do with how we see ourselves, and sometimes it's just that we're in a rut. Very interesting topic!

RE: Hercules' son name?

Mini-Me

RE: We forget too easily...

If you'd stop and actually think for half a second, you'd understand that the more people who post threads, the more diversity. Pedro and Smiley don't post an excessive number of threads. It's "people" like you who feel the need to post on their threads who actually bump them to the top.

RE: We forget too easily...

Agree. The people who complain the most and with the most personal attacks should help effect the change they feel necessary by posting threads of their own.

RE: Why does the Irish race speak English....?

Perhaps one of his parents is Irish and the other immigrated to the country. If he was born in Ireland with one Irish parent, he is Irish.

RE: If you have Nothing Good to say - Rather Say Nothing at All...

Agree. But the key is "sometimes".

RE: Why does the Irish race speak English....?

Actually, speaking English was enforced as was banning Catholicism. Slainthe! cheers

RE: If you have Nothing Good to say - Rather Say Nothing at All...

But they can only succeed if you let them. When I see their names, I don't read their posts. And it's always the same people.

RE: Why does the Irish race speak English....?

When England invaded, the conquered people came under English rule. They had to speak English. Surely, you wouldn't expect the English to learn their language? You have English people who have lived in Spain for years and can't speak Spanish. Irish is spoken a lot in the west of Ireland. I have friends there who are passionate about keeping the language alive. Go raibh maith agat!

RE: If you have Nothing Good to say - Rather Say Nothing at All...

They write the same schoolyard drivel from thread to thread and are the penultimate in boring. sleep
