USA CS GET-TOGETHER, St Louis, Missouri, April 4-6, 2008

ACCOMIDATIONS FOR APRIL 4-6, 2008

I have just spoken to several local motels....this one is giving the best deal....

Days Inn in Collinsville, Illinois is offering $55+tax a night...there is an indoor pool(4ft deep max) continental breakfast.

you will have one week before the event to cancell your reservations if needed without any charges

Also...this motel is very close to all the places for our gathering too...

there will 20 rooms held under the CS group name...I will speak to the manager again in the morning to confirm this. I will post the rest of the details at that time...

WHEN: APRIL 4TH-6TH, 2008

WHERE: GREATER ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI AREA
(Lambert Airport in St. Louis is the airport that you should fly into)

WHAT: Ok everyone, lets get ready to have a great time here in the USA. Food, drink, singing (if you’re brave enough...LOL) fun and lots of friends just hanging out.

I have found the best deal for accommodations after talking to every hotel and motel in the area.

DAYS INN HOTEL: 12 Commerce Dr., Collinsville, Illinois. 62234, 618-345-2000
$55+tax per night, indoor swimming pool(4ft deep max, continental breakfast(muffins, waffels, cereal, juice, coffee)
You can make your reservations anytime and if for some reason you must cancel for any reason, you will be able to do so up to one week before the event without any charges.

I have reserved 20 rooms under the group name "CONNECTING SINGLES"

FRIDAY NIGHT: we will all meet at SHARKY's bar/pool hall at 7pm.
That way members who are traveling can have time to arrive and refresh themselves. Sharky's has a live band with a cover charge of about $5 per person. The pool hall side has no cover charge. I have not received the answer from the owner yet about a discount on the cover charge. I will let you all know as soon as I find out.

SATURDAY NIGHT: dinner at PORTERS STEAKHOUSE
Dinner at 7pm then drinks and karaoke at JJ's Corner with the best system and DJ (and close personal friend of mine...LOL)Tommy Tunesmith, in the area.

SUNDAY: many of us will need to tend to our pounding heads...
At noon on Sunday, I will start the grill at my house. Anyone who doesn't have to travel too early and wants to join in is welcome to bring a meat to grill and any beverages they would like to drink. I will provide side dishes... potatoe salad, baked beans, salad, and mac and cheese. I would appreciate some advanced notice on how many might plan on attending so I can make sure there is enough for everyone.

This will be mostly an outside event...as my house is too small to accommodate everyone...

If there are any other suggestions, please reply to this thread or email me personally...

I am looking forward to meeting you all and prepared to have a blast!!!!!!
