The ultimate Vegas weekend should start off with a reservation at the best restaurant in the hotel, as most great times are highlighted by a great meal. Make a point to linger over dinner. When done, head to the casino lounge. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and timing is everything.

You can get the best feel for Vegas this way. The casino floor bustles. It's a cacophony of sights and sounds, an energized hum you find yourself swept up in.

You can sleep in the next morning if you want; there's no rush. When you get up, take a walk along the Strip; in doing so, you'll be taking a walk around the globe and through several centuries. Take a thrill ride. You might see a few lions and a shark or two.

Don't forget to nap, as day blends seamlessly into night. Have an amazing dinner followed by a show, maybe some dancing afterwards. Or head back down to the lounge. Or to another show. Or to a nightclub or ultra-lounge with exclusive bottle service and ultra-groomed urbanites. It's ultra everything. You get the idea.
Day two can start off much the same way, but you might not be sure what day it is. There are no alarm clocks, no wake-up calls, no appointment calendars. Which is precisely the point.

You may have lit it up the night before, but you'll still want to check out the town. Go to Hoover Dam, Red Rock National Recreation Area, and maybe, if time allows, Valley of Fire. Or, take half a day for a helicopter ride over the magnificent Grand Canyon. If you behaved yourself the previous night, you could try some golf, rock climbing or river rafting.

That leaves one more night on the town. One more adventure. One more evening of unlimited possibilities.

Recognizing fellow CS members at Event(s) of this Gathering...

Since different members will be meeting up with others at different times and in the varying locations; not just easily showing up to a backyard of a house where everyone is gathering for the same purpose, these places may be crowded; we need a method by which to recognize fellow CS members...

Not likely we are going to memorize everyone by their CS pics. The easiest, of course, will be if people consider purchasing a CS Shirt from the "Shirt Shop" link (top of page by sign-in/out) to wear to the events. You might want to consider printing off the Sign-up page (pictures portion) which will provide an easy one page (or so) reference sheet of people on list - to this end, please ensure you have a good head-shot for your main pic so if/when people do this they will have a good image to go by.

If you've been in Chat, or just by stopping by the Vegas thread, you're used to seeing my main pic, so - I will be planning on wearing what you'd expect. I'll pack my Flag print T-shirt for the casual Thu and the Polo (as seen in the pic) for Fri; yes, I have several different ones; as I will be more dressed up for the Show Fri night and since Strat Lounge has a Dress code.

I could (as we were joking about in the Chat room one day) dye my hair (with temp. dye) bright Red. I could, but I won't (ex and I painted up our faces Blue to go to Blue Man Group years ago, but I'm not going to parade around looking silly in General Public - yes... go ahead... make the joke - "should look in the mirror" right? hardy-har-har).

Most of you dont know me, but Im active on here once in a while (when work allows time for such frivolities as a personal life).

I am a Vegas local, Ive been here on and off since 1984, I dont know all the current hotspots, but Im sure we can figure out something.

I plan to make the friday night gathering, and which ever of the rest I can. I look forward to meeting any and all of you.

I get back from the bay on thursday...sometime around 5 pm...so I will do my best to make it to the bar...and I will be bringing papers...lol

First, I understand that it may seem strange/awkward to some that someone from out-of-town is planning this GT in Vegas - which is why I'm still looking/hoping for a local resident to co-sponsor (so that we can provide this to be a Locals GT, not just events for out-of-towners). If you volunteer your yard for a BBQ, I (as I'm sure others) will pitch in for food/pop so we can incorporate the more "traditional" BBQ event as part of this overal GT; so everyone (especially the ladies - remember, bring a friend if you need to) feel more at ease (the "bring a friend" obviously holds true for this or any GT/Event) .... Anyway....

yes total sausage fest just the 3 of us lol i want to thank all you people for signing up for this get together and then not showing up, i was very dissappointed. i want to thank yet and myselve for showing up and having a good talk over dinner and some fun playing slots and listening to the band . i hope a few more will make it for the rest of the week . i will be around on sunday to do something fun and cheap cause thats what i am ( fun & cheap ) and maybe meet a few more new people and just kidding about the sausage fest , i wish a few ladies had the courage to show up, we don't bite ladies . come out and meet some good people and have some fun , we can decide what we are going to do when we meet call joe lenard at the sahara for details, the number is in this thread somewhere

I showed up about 9 pm and there were maybe 4 people at the casbah
So I had a couple of drinks in the Sarhara then took off with my brother to the Venetian and partied at some bar there....good times
