I have become very local here, rarely venture more than 30 km up or down along the road. First time in my life people recognise me more than three blocks away. A great little town of 15k peps, no more beer

when i lived in the uk i shared a house with some skinheads and ex punks etc..oi oi music was the general balance of taste and the greeting to all was....oi oi how ya doin...................


went to europe on a motorbike ran out of money..got a job in Gibraltar and lived 20klicks away where everyone thought i was a weirdo cos i said today today to them (hoy hoy)




was pleased my first bit of spanish was to ask for a potatoe......what is it again i cant remember ???

I am now both Italian and Australian citizen, as of three weeks ago (unless the authorities find some bureaucratic reason to stuff me around!!!). laugh

OOOh, yes!

- No "non-EU passport queues"
- Can work anywhere in EU if I ever want a break from Oz
- Buy property there, get loans etc.....
- Feel close to my roots again.

It felt warm and fuzzy to be reminded I was actually born in that beautiful country!
