Hi All! I'm here in Dublin at last after missing my flight and nearly drowning on the bus from the airport, the water came flooding into the bus upto our knees. Needless to say the "drowned rat" look doesn't suit me....

So i was wondering if any one was free to meet up tomorrow or tuesday, as Billy no mates here is lonely wandering around this buzzing town....sad flower

I'll check in with CS later today to see how many 100's of replies i get..lol.

Thanks Mike,

I'm sure I will as long as the rain keeps off. Just invested in a pair of wellies, again not the best of looks but very practical. Hope you have a good week end too.

Yes we have some rain from TIME to TIME, I'm off for some Sports work in Euro this week, anyway--HAVE FUN--

Radar detects objects by transmitting a pulse of radio waves and looking for signals reflected back from the object. By measuring the time taken for the pulse to reach the object and travel back to the radar, the distance can be calculated. By rotating the antenna and sending out a stream of pulses, the radar can build up a picture of objects.

You aint seen the wellies i've brought rolling on the floor laughing Wot can you expect for 3 Euros, needless to say i'm not taking them home, so anyone that wants them drop me a line, i'll sell them for 2 Euros, a bargain....(only joking, wouldn't give them to a charity shop)

I know wot you mean about the Dublin folk, i've probably spoken to more people today than i would normaly speak to in a week in London. So not feeling so down today about not having any mates here. Off to the coast tomorrow, hopefully, weather permitting.

Well I'm home safe and sound, after spending an exhuasting and wet weekend in Dublin. However, despite the weather, the near miss with death by drowning on the airport bus, the lack of CS mates jumping in to bail me out of my lonlyness (only joking, I know it was short notice and the footie was on), I had a great weekend.

Many THANKS to Losty for showing parts of Dublin I hadn't seen before, despite being there 5 times now. I'll just have to come back again and explore some more. Any excuse to get back to Dublin....but need to look up the site recomended by Mike for the weather forcast next time, I need to come over when the sun shines and no rain clouds in site.

I'll certainly try, I'll keep looking at the thread to catch the details. But I really should be more adventurous and travel a bit further afield, like Bray ...

I went to Malahide and Howth this time round and loved it. So maybe need to venture further north
