This Get-Together has been discussed in the THE NUT HOUSE IN BLACKPOOL
thread. So here is the SignUp and the Details for the weekend:
The idea of this event is to meet up with CS friends and get to know new ones. All are welcome to attend.
For those who are not acquainted, Blackpool is a coastal holiday resort town in the northwest of England, with many attractions, from fair rides to clubs and pubs, as well as the famous Tower and circus.
The Pleasure Beach is a fair ground that hosts Europe’s biggest rollercoaster.
The Get-Together is for the 4th to the 5th of August. You can find a list below of some of the B&B's there.
The meet up place is the Littern Tree Pub, Queens Street in Blackpool.
The time to start will be at 2pm to give people chance to book into there B&B's
The plan is for all to meet in the Littern Tree Pub at 2pm (see directions below). We will stay there for an hour to give people time to arrive.
Then at 3pm we will move on to the Pleasure Beach for people who want to, and spend a few hours around there. There are many places that people can eat there, Burguer King and also an Italian restaurant where it’s all you can eat for just £5 a head.
Then at about 6pm we’ll let everyone go back to their hotels to freshen up.
At about 8pm we will all meet back up at the Litten Tree Pub again as people will now know where it is. From there we will go on a pub crawl hehehe!!
The idea of staying over night is so that people can have a good drink and a good time without having to travel back home, so Sunday is just when people go home after having hopfully a good time the night before.
Wrist bands:
The Blackpool Wrist Band costs £5 and entitles you to discounted drinks and entry into selected pubs and clubs around Blackpool. People can get these by visiting the website www.blackpoolvipwristband.com
Pleasure Beach Wrist Bands are £25 pounds for all day, does turn out to be worth it as each ride can be expensive
Directions from train station to the Littern Tree Pub are:
Once you come out of the train station (Blackpool North) and under the walkway, keep following the road round to your left, when you go round the corner, passing the bus station on the other side of the road, continue down to the traffic lights (Wilkinson Store is on the corner). Cross the road there and you will be outside a pub called The Station, continue to the right, past the taxi rank and a couple of take aways, This road is called Dickson Road.
Queen Street is the first turning on the left and the Littern Tree Pub is on right hand side apporox 3/4 of the way down.
Or failing that… just get a taxi hehehehe.
