Otherwise there's CAMDEN DE LUXE HOTEL - 2* Hotel

The Camden de Luxe is a listed building which was once a theatre called Theatre de Luxe. The hotel's façade has remained the same since 1957, the year the theatre closed. When you stay here have a look into the ballroom – this was once the theatre's auditorium but it's now home to the hotel's nightclub.

The hotel has 34 ensuite rooms which are well equipped with a direct dial phone, a TV, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

at 220 euros for 3 nights...yay

Which one was that again???
I forget.............it was a site you'd seen - not the cheapest but still very good value, but what set it apart was it had the top rating from people who'd stayed there! I'll have to google and boogle and whatever to find it again! crying

10 people in one room???
yup - just the two beds for four people and six chairs for those people queueing for 'their turn' in the bed (joking, ok?)..........

What I mean to say it can cater for those on a low budget plus cater for those who can afford the privacy of a room to themselves (Those sharing might have more fun playing 'pass the parcel' and other silly games - who knows?)

confused

Yup - I think Jacobs Inn had the best write up.......... anyway, a CS get-together for a mere 3 days wouldn't involve much sleeping, would it? angel

I noticed that........we don't want to commute back to the hotel especially if somebody gets 'lost' and has to get a taxi on his/her own....... I just know thatfor some people the cost is a major problem - I'm ok, I'll just have to put off the wedding a little longer to pay for the trip!

Right, I'm just going to decide...
Camden de Luxe it is... at 220 euros pr room for 3 nights!

Description
This 2 star hotel is located on Camden Street, just a short walk from St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street in Dublin city centre.

You'll never be bored at the Camden de Luxe as it has an excellent range of entertainment facilities. The hotel boasts a pool hall that has 20 pool tables, fussball tables, tornado table football, a full range of video games, darts and even a private snooker room.

Guests can eat at the Picture House Restaurant which provides an a la carte menu and a carvery lunch, or Ricardo's Café Deli Bar which specialises in pizzas, pastas, salads and nibbles.

The hotel also has a very popular late bar called Planet Murphy's and a nightclub called the Palace Nightclub.

When you stay here you're only a short walk from top attractions like Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral and Dublin Castle. It's also about a 10 minute walk to Temple Bar and Grafton Street.
