Ok so you have sort of got it right but you must remember that every decade has a band that sticks in your memory, Floyd, Blue Oyster cult, Deep purple, Amon Duul, Status Quo, Meat Loaf, Alice Cooper, Queen, Ac/Dc, Motorhead, Raamstein, where do we go from there. Right back to the days Of Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly,Clymidia, Egg, Black Dog the list in endless it all comes down to the persons personal choices. I agree with most of yours except for the Floyd. Obscured by clouds is still the floyd at their best. Thanks anyway.

You might want to listen to the Blind Faith album, IF you can find it! It was the only one they did, and I don't remember exactly who was in that group, but they were all superstars. Jimmy Page was one of them, but, like I said, I don't remember exactly who else was in that group. It came out sometime back in the 70's, so you'll probably have to ask some old ex-hippy geezer or something. Maybe they still have it. It's been so long since I heard it, I can't even tell you what songs were on that album.

agree with Tremold on Darkside having better hits and I think Time Is one of the greatest works of english song writing ever, but as an album experiance The Wall wins Hands down.

What about the legendary Back In Black, by AC/DC(Best selling rock album ever made, with a BRAND NEW SINGER NOONE HAD HEARD BEFORE?? WHO ELSE HAS DONE THAT??

ok i'll agree with sabbath-paranoid, led zep-II, Hendrix- the jimi experience, Doors- self title & pearl jam-10...but pink floyd-dark side was better for hits.
