About me:
Hi - I'm 47 years old, 5' 11.5" tall, with brown eyes, dark blonde hair and of average build. I have a real passion for wildlife, natural history and animals. I love the sea, beachcombing, visiting lighthouses and boat trips (I’ve been to most of the Scottish islands). I also really enjoy theatre, cinema, concerts, photography, star gazing at the local Observatory, “Garden Open Days”, exploring new places and learning new things. Some Fav Places: Dunkeld, St Andrews, Cairngorms area. Some Fav Films: Amelie, Australia, Midnight in Paris, Chocolat, Four Weddings, The Bucket List, The Horse Whisperer. Fav TV/DVD: Northern Exposure, Sherlock Holmes, Everybody Loves Raymond, Top Gear (just cause it's hilarious!), and science/nature documentaries. Fav Music: Country, Soul, Rockabilly, Blues, Swing, Latin, Classic Rock, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s & 80’s.... all sorts really, just not the current pop music! Big Chris Isaak fan, and Alan Jackson is on the player quite a lot at the moment.
I am a lady of contradictions really - I have always loved outdoor pursuits and have always led a very active lifestyle however, 13 years ago I developed M.E. (chronic fatigue syndrome) and frequent migraines. The M.E. has left me very isolated socially, as I had to give up college, work and my wonderful ballroom/latin dancing. I won’t lie to you - it does cramp my style an awful lot, but I try and get out and about doing things whenever I am able, and I remain hopeful that one of these days I will recover. I am told I have a good sense of humour, an enquiring mind and am also a bit quirky! Is that last one a good trait? ha ha! I have a great love of life and a very evident sense of curiosity and wonder about...well, everything really!

Since joining this site I have made some wonderful friends from all over the world, but I suppose, like everyone else, I would love to meet that someone special (if indeed he exists!) Someone to share the rest of my life with, someone who could love and accept me just the way I am. I know it sounds corny, but I am an old romantic, and have a lot of love to give to the right person. My "ideal" man would be someone who shares my interests, has the same outlook in life and accepts my limitations. He would be equally happy sledging in the snow, walking on a beach in a force 9 gale watching the huge waves crashing onto the rocks, being able to appreciate the stillness and beauty of sitting by the edge of a loch watching the sunset, or going into the city for an evening at the theatre. Oh, and needless to say... must have a great sense of humour and love dogs! ha ha! Likes: honesty, trust, loyalty, monogamy, kindness, caring, responsible, compassionate, reliable and romantic. Dislikes: drunkenness, smoking, reality tv, soap operas and football. Sorry! :O)
Have had a rough few years due to a bad relationship, my old doggie dying, having to give up my other dog when my partner left, and my mum being moved into a nursing home etc. I am hopeful though that 2012 will be the start of better and happier times! :O)

BEEN HAVING BAD LEG PROBLEMS SO CAN'T SIT ON THE COMPUTER CHAIR FOR VERY LONG - PROBABLY A LEGACY LEFT OVER FROM MY OLD CYCLING DAYS!! JUST WANTED TO SAY, THAT I AM STILL HERE, AND AS SOON AS THEY SORT ME OUT, I WILL BE BACK ON, PESTERING PEOPLE AND CAUSING THE NORMAL CHAOS!! LOL **
