I'm eclectic, artsy, intelligent, concerned about the world and aware of what's going on. I've had friends say they can't find intelligent women. I've found the same in many men. I don't know if there is such a thing as an ideal match but some winning qualities would be someone who can talk about more than one thing, who enjoys discussions and madcap adventures. Humour is always important and not being caught up too much with how cool you are. I like the outdoors but don't do enough of walking or hiking and would love to have a partner in crime for such things. Dancing would be a plus as I love dancing. I'm a romantic realist, which means I would love romance, slow getting to know yous as opposed to jumping into bed on the first date. Someone who wants to explore the anticipation and building of feeling. And yes, a romantic dinner at some point is almost like a Disney movie now. Ooops, I just woke up. Back to reality. ;0)

No one can be 100% positive but a positive outlook or looking at what is good and amazing and beautiful helps, because our world has both. A comrade in arms for when we go on raids from our galleon, or hunt for buried treasure under the East Van cross. If you're racist or a bigot we won't work. Did I mention humour and willing to try new things?

I do believe that you have to meet a person "in person" to truly get to know them. So, while I appreciate the many hellos from afar, my time is finite and I will be less likely to respond if I think the chances of us meeting and even dating are too slim. To put it another way...there are many people sending messages from different countries or provinces. If you are not regularly going to be in Vancouver where we could get to know each other in person, then there is no point in just chatting as a penpal. :)
