Similarities in Bible and Koran

I thought to myself, I'll do an article on the comparison of Biebel and the Koran, because in my Poll are a lot of misunderstandings to read. Whether out of unknowing or just ignorance, it does not matter. Finally, it is up to each own what he believe or not. Perhaps it will help one or the other to see even a comparison. This article is not based on a Christian view, but from the perspective of a German. I have some good friends among the Turks here in Cologne, and also from other Muslim countries. And if I know one thing, they all are not terrorists, or evil. They are all people like you and me. They laugh, they mourn, celebrate and have families. Judge a human by his religion, is nothing other than racism. Perhaps it would be best served, better to see the human in the others and not hiChristians and Muslims believe in the same God? Which is probably the most important doctrinal of the Koran? And who among us could spontaneously answer the question of what the faith of Muslims in our country, probably the most accounts? Many Christians find it difficult when it`s about Islam. Although already more than two million Muslims in Germany live and there is now much literature on Islam, is the knowledge of what for Muslims actually believe, even among Christians often fragmented. A large proportion of Muslims in Germany has no plans to return to their country, and Germany is not a 'transit country', but Home country has become. Is it possible for Christians to walk past the challenge of Islam? The feeling of strangeness and uncertainty of not knowing is often the result of Muslims, or even Fear of the image that the media teach about Islam, often without providing background information on whether such as terrorism, a characteristic of Islam in general or only a limited number of politically active Groupings is. Therefore, the relationship with Muslim neighbors or fellow people is often of speechlessness and helplessness marked. Also on the frequently asked question of whether Muslims and Christians for believing in the same God, is obtained by Media and 'Islam experts' different answers. Once the differences are more emphasized, once more in common: Islam and Christianity are "Abrahamic religions", ie, religions, based on Appointed as the patriarch Abraham. In addition, the Qur'an tells in some detail by the first man in Paradise, from Moses and the crossing of the sea as well as from Jesus, Mary or John. However, it is

do not imply anything like that sounds the same. Much in the Qur'an sounds at first glance very similar to the Bible, as it often tells the same events and are used the same concepts. In the Koran is, for examplefrom God's mercy, the speech of sin and forgiveness, justice and the Last Paradise. Whether but it is also done the same substantive statements, is an entirely different questions religion. The greatest similarities in my view are the following:

  1. Koran and the Bible speak of the one eternal, infinite God who lives forever and governs the universe.
  2. In the Koran and the Bible he is the creator of heaven and earth, and the creator of each individual.
  3. According to Christian and Muslim faith, God has his holy, eternal Word in His Holy Book down. (Of course, this holy book for Christians, the Bible, the Koran for Muslims.)
  4. Koran and Bible, ask the people to worship an almighty God this and tell him thanks.
  5. According to the Koran and the Bible, sin and forgiveness characterize the relationship of man to God. Only in God Believer can count on the forgiveness of God.
  6. Koran and Bible, set by God's commandments, sin, and what is good.
  7. According to the report of the Koran and the Bible, the first man sinned in paradise and were therefore of God expelled from paradise.
  8. In the Koran and the Bible, the devil is the adversary of the people who wants to seduce us into sin. The human is in Satan`s hands, but not helpless, because he is assisted by God.
  9. According to the Koran and the Bible, every human being according to his present life in the resurrection of the dead judged by God.
  10. Koran and the Bible testify who has not lived life according to the commandments of God and not believing in him, is the youngest court condemned to hell, while the believer can enter Paradise. Rewarded and Damned to live forever and remain forever in hell or in paradise. (Of course, after the Koran, only the Muslim believers find entrance to paradise, while the Christian is condemned as an infidel. The Bible testified, that only the faithful Christian may inherit eternal life).

I hope this article is a little bit helpful in understanding the others. Whether a human is good or bad, is not a question of religion.

Sorry knom it is more about comparing religion, but hope can also bring a view in of Christianity. Christian means little anointed one... I see also this comments... a scribture of people going to ground because of the lack of knowledge. The bible does not come to condem. Through Jesus, blood of many man made rules and laws he came to die for our sins. Also scripture tells us, that once you give your life to God, HE WILL NEVER let you go.... So even if you sin, you will be forgiven. Yes and that does not mean anybody can sin as he wishes, but like in a relationship, I do not want to hurt anybody, so I try not to sin because I love God and what he has done for me, not because I want to go to heaven. ..... Also... by reading the bible or knowing everything is not the path... I am not here to convince anybody, but be willing to ask, and before making assumptions, nobody can abide by the rules and laws, everybody is sinners...but through his love God wil save... So many non believers really went out and tried to proof Christianity wrong, only to turn to Jesus whole heartedly.
But yes, as a saying of Ghandi, Christian is one of the most facinating religions, just sorry about the Christians .... So seek God directly and not through people and man made rules.... And I know you will find Him.

In many places the Koran claims that the book of Islam, God Himself had written this "absolutely true book" and word for word to Muhammad, the last prophet of all nations, revealed.

About the God-man Jesus Christ, the Qur'an says:

* "With Jesus before Allah like Adam. He created him from dust, then He said unto him: Be! And he was. "(3, 59)
* "Christ, the Son of Mary, is nothing more than a messenger." (5, 75)
* "Incredulous are those who say that Christ is God, where Christ has said it:" O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. "" If Allah (one son) adjoined, the Allah will forbid him Paradise. His abode is the Fire. "(5, 72)
* "Incredulous are certainly those who say Christ, the Son of Mary, is God. Say: Who then is able to accomplish anything at all against Allah, if He Christ, the Son of Mary, and his mother and those who are on earth, all of them want to spoil? (5, 17)
* "Allah said: 'O Jesus son of Mary were, you the one who told the people:' Take you, besides Allah, my mother and me gods!? 'He said,' Praise to thee so! It is not my place to say something, which I have no right '. "(4, 5, 116)
Cursed * "they were, because they said: 'We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of God'. They have not crucified him, though, but it seemed to them a similar figure to him ... And they did not kill him with certainty, but Allah raised him to Himself "(4, 157 and 158).

Well, as you see, there are not only similarities. Jesus is a prophet after the Holy Qur'an (Arabic: Nabi) and a messenger of God (rasul). One of the problems is certainly the Holy Trinity, another prob is the Virgin Mary, because she be adored. Many Muslims believe that Mary is a part of the trinity. These and similar questions of faith have meant, that Muslims and Christians have a less understanding for each other. Therefore the wars, in the name of Alah and God. I hope my answer could satisfy you. To write and explain what kind of reasons finally are "guilty", would explode the framework here.
In own thing: I am sorry that I reply late, but I often don`t look in here.

God is one but has three different and distinct personalities...not three Gods. The pure Hinduism, one of the greatest religioins of the world also reveals the trinitarian God. Many people think, like you, and I really appreciate you for putting some time comparing Islam and Judaism. The God of the Old Testament-YAHWEH and the God of Quran-Allah are different in charecteristics. Islam comes 500 yrs after Jesus Christ. The OT and the New Testament talks about the same. You talk about the Patriarch Abraham who had two wives and two sons. Isaac and Ishmael. People are divided into two because they had different fore-fathers, mentioned above. What does the Quran say about this? If Christians and muslims come from the same blood, why the enemity?
