My Explorations - Human Nature...as I see...(2)

Generally speaking, civilization is supposed to be an advanced state of human social development that has taken thousands of years from the primitive stages of human society. With the civilization of mankind, different organized societies of people started to represent themselves as different nations. A nation is supposed to be a large community of people living in an area of land (a country) and generally sharing common interests, language, history etc under an independent system of governance. Such a ruling system is expected to be fair and just enough to make its people live happily.

Then the nations also created things like national anthems, national flags, national costumes etc with a view to further uniting their people and establishing their identity as a whole. In this course of development, some nations sometimes learn from their mistakes and wisely discard the existing concepts and create better concepts, theories etc in order to get better results and remain on the good side of civilization. In fact, to a great extent, some nations have acquired better results through these ways within their countries.

On the other hand, as ill effects of civilization and development; competition among the nations and among the people of the same nation has increased to insatiable levels. How far have all the nations and their concepts been successful in bringing happiness, peace and wisdom within their own countries and among the other nations? As a whole, the entire world is moving towards a "modern primitive stage". The situation in the so-called developing countries is much worse. Muddle-headed about why those concepts, theories, nations, religions, manners, etiquette, principles, customs, dogmas etc were created, they are killing each other over such things sacrificing all the good side of civilization and are fast moving towards "modern savagery".

The leaders and theoreticians behind these things claim that their aim is to create a better future for the next generation. Forgetting about the basic needs of their present people, some such leaders and their followers keep on boasting about their movements, achievements etc, and they expect the people to suffer beyond bearable limits to safeguard their so-called future generation, past glories, present struggles etc. How far is this practical? The future generation is not aliens suddenly coming from another world but the sons and daughters and the offspring of the present generation.

The most important achievement that a country can have is to leave its present people live in peace, health, happiness, wisdom and freedom. Such simple-minded people can wisely learn lessons from the past and prudently let the presence transform into the future, preserving man, nature and the good side of civilization and development.

What can you do as an individual if you happen to live in a country that is running wild because of the imprudent people and leaders...? Try to be an individual seeker of practical results and wisdom within your lifespan and the prevailing situations, and try not to be unnecessarily troubled about things that are beyond your control and interest because you have things that are more important about your personal life. On the other hand, isn't it a far more greater service to the country when you silently become healthy, peace loving and nature loving without being a burden to others...?
