"Heaven and Earth"

It`s crazy, here is big space for Recipes and nobody wrote something in here...

It could be interesting to read, what will be eaten in other Countries. Maybe some unique and special Meal to share? Would it not be nice to cook something of your Country in my Country? To share the Asian taste, or the Indian? Maybe a typical Romanian Meal?

Ok, I can tell a lot, therefore I think I am the first here :-)
The Recipe I would like to share, is eaten in my Region in Köln, Germany. It`s a very old Recipe, but it tastes well. It`s named "Heaven and Earth". Really simple to cook.


Recipe for heaven and earth
Ingredients for 4 servings:

1000 g apples
800 g potatoes
500 g blackpudding
150 g bacon
40 g butter
Salt
Sugar


Preparation:

Peel the potatoes and cook them in salt water.
Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut into thin strips. Cook the apple slices in a little water.
Then cut the bacon into cubes and fry it golden brown in a frying pan.
Now Mash the potatoes and mix them with the apples. Then taste with salt and sugar and give the bacon over it.
Cut the blackpudding into slices and fry in a pan with butter to crisp.


: Serve

Enter the mashed potatoes on 4 plates and place the sausage slices on it.
