Religion today can be a misunderstood subject, with lots of folk having reasons for the approval or disapproval, but i was musing today that inside that religious oyster shell, there lies a pearl, the value and the substance of great worth, so it is not in religion itself, but that which it contains.
religion is more than a sunday and well dressed people who may or may not be living the life, but the pearl is designed to
enrich us as people, personal and practical, while the sea itself
can be rough and stormy, life is the same, with more questions, and less answers, yet inspite still there is a oyster, and a pearl,
and though hard for some to see, they are really placed there, for our benefit.
With countless names for religious practices, denominations and all, only the one with a pearl has the treasure. the test of true religion is, which one has the pearl of pure truth.
Pearls possess beauty, their round creamy white substance, suggests purity, and reflects wealth and riches. People will dive deep to get them, while today there are churches like oyster shells..within which is spoken of a pearl of great price, namely the man who took the cross to a hill all those years ago, and said if you want to really live, think on me.
should someone find interest in this subject..there are some starting points....the bible..and the new testament..gospel of john is a great starter..
