Loving Yourself Can Make You Sexy

Loving Yourself Can Make You Sexy

Your sex appeal is largely an extension of the way in which you carry yourself in daily life. And this, in turn, is influenced by your level of self-esteem. The more you accept yourself for who you are, the more attractive you become to others.

A lot of the responses that we receive from the world – and from the people in it – are the result of the thoughts that we're projecting out all the time. The world can be like a mirror that shows us what we really think of ourselves. That means that if we're keen on finding partnership, intimacy, and love in our lives and instead end up experiencing a lot of rejection, then it may be because we are, somehow or other, projecting the belief that we're not lovable. To change the responses that we're getting we need to change the way that we feel about ourselves as well as the ways in which we communicate that self-image, in both obvious and subtle ways, to others. That way, we can cultivate self-confidence and self-love, which in turn can translate into attractiveness and sex appeal.

The next time you approach someone who you're interested in, give yourself permission to treat it as a completely new moment and experience. A lot of times we may feel inhibited in such situations because we're dragging the past into the present. Rejections and criticisms from the past become internalized so that now, instead of hearing disparaging things from others, we're the ones repeating those messages... to ourselves. We need to reprogram our minds and start focusing on our good qualities and strengths rather than mulling over our deficiencies.

Your thoughts influence your body language, posture, facial expression, and tone of voice. If you harbor a lot of thoughts that revolve around low self-esteem then you will literally make yourself look and act less attractive. Self-love, on the other hand, will encourage your natural grace to shine through in the way that you carry yourself. It's not about being perfect, or even about being charming, witty or beautiful. It's about being who you are and letting the qualities about you that are attractive be noticed.

Being yourself – and embracing the way that you are – will also help to ensure that you attract the right person. Self-confidence that grows out of an acceptance of yourself can make you irresistible to a kindred spirit, someone of like mind and interests. If you project a phony sense of self-assurance, though, you might attract someone who likes that persona even if it has nothing to do with who you really are. And, when it comes right down to it, you'll never be happy no matter who you attract into your life unless you love yourself.

If you enjoy yourself then you'll give other people the impression that they might enjoy being around you too. Loving the life that you're living can become a self-fulfilling prophecy, where a little bit of good translates into more and more. Self-love not only makes us more attractive to others and increases our sex appeal but also enables us to be loved.

I like where this article leads, even if I don't entirely agree with it as it suggest that other people's actions towards us are solely dependant on us while it is equally true that we cannot please everyone and that some people are simply too bitter to give themselves a chance or open up favorably to others.
It's clear that self-esteem plays a large role in all our relationships but I wouldn't call it "loving yourself", that sounds too narcissistic and selfish.
Thank you for well written article.

i love myself guess what no girlfriend, any girls that come my way play emotional games, loving yourself has nothing to do with finding someone, a person who loves themselves that has been hurt by so many people and girls can only dish out so much, so if they walk around looking sad but are acting normal that doesn't mean they dont love themself, this article is to fool desperate lonely people to better themselves for the ones who play emotional games,

This is a great article. Somewhere along the way many of us, especially women believe it is an ego trip to love ourselves. Who better to love you, than you?

Loving yourself sets the natural progression to love others, because when we love all of our tendencies, we feel good and that goodness will overflow to others.

Also, loving oneself is not thinking you are perfect or do not need to improve, loving yourself will have you learning more about yourself, improving and bettering yourself.

In fact, I am completing a poem titled, The Art of Me I hope to post soon because I love the woman I am today as well as the woman I'm becoming everyday.

Thanks.

WITHIN YOURSELF

WITHIN YOURSELF YOU HAVE THE POWER TI BE WHAT YOU DESIRE.
wITHIN YOUR SOUL THERE IS THE GOAL TO WHICH YOUR THOUGHTS ASPIRE. nOT IN THE OUTSIDE WORLD,BUT IN YOURSELF POTANTIALLY--

I love this article and yes it is very true all of it. Thanks for posting this and i love it as it is exactly what i tell others around me as i am this way all the time 365 days of the year. I love who i am and the life i have and wouldn't trade it for anyone or anything. Please read this all of you here as this is absolutley true and if you have poor self esteem it will definitley give you a boost to change your way of thinking of yourself. Everyone deserves love and you need to love yourself first before you can love someone else. You are a worthy person and let the light from inside shine out to others to see and it will draw them in like moths to a flame, trust me it is true.
