Bali Trip

Hey Guys,

Sorry I have been very busy and too tired to write down. Didn't realise that it has been over a year already. Time certainly flies.

Have decided to go to Bali for my Eid Holidays this year. I was planning to go to Switzerland, but couldn't take longer leave days from the office.

Bali is actually quite nice. I didn't go to Kuta this time, but I spent 2 nights in Sanur, 3 nights in Ubud and 2 nights in Seminyak. So far I had good experiences, meeting friends, enjoying food and of course the scenery.

Sanur is really nice. I stayed in a small hotel which was quite scary to me as the lock was really unsecured to me, a big city person. I almost moved out to a bigger hotel but then changed my mind. It has been an experience to me as the location is good. It was quite close to the famous local restaurent which I visited everyday. I even did bike riding around the beach and streets for over 5 hours non stop. I amazed myself.

I like my hotel in Ubud. I had spacious room. Still don't like the monkeys. Thankfully they didn't bother me this time when I was in Monkey Forest. I joined the Yoga class which is actually quite nice.

My hotel in Seminyak is modern, new and minimalist. It's perfect for me. The prices in Seminyak is ridiculous, thou. How come the price of tea is almost the same as corona? And you can guess what I chose, can't you? Yep, tea laugh

Ottawa

It's certainly a nice city, a beautiful place to walk around especially the Parliament ... and the cat sanctuary. thumbs up

Am not a cat person actually as I am more a dog person ... but I do like the cat sanctuary. I even bought a cat food in the market as donation laugh

One question though, why there are lots of "beggars" asking for "change"? And they don't look homeless to me. confused So whenever someone asks "Do you have change". I just reply, "Yep, I do" and continue walking giggle

Ugh!

I guess am a spoilt person uh oh

I can't stand the greyhound bus roll eyes Well, the couch was smelly and it was quite a long ride from Niagara Falls to Toronto!

I am proud though that I didn't throw up in the bus, but after arriving at the hotel laugh

Bali

It has been a year since my previous visit to this Island of God. Had a short holiday there this weekend, but didn’t find it as good as my previous visits. dunno

Kuta is still the center of night activities dancing and Ubud is still center for rich tourists, especially foreigners. sigh

I like traditional markets, but it’s no longer exciting, just so so confused . Still like the scenery, especially in the suburbs. thumbs up

Missing My Buddy ...

Have you ever realised that you have been missing something or someone in your life? daydream

Dining with friends of mine last weekend and shared funny story until a friend got us talking about something or someone we have been missing in our life. moping

It’s quite depressing that we agree not to discuss further. I was the only one who thought how silly my friends were ... why do we miss something or someone. confused

Then during the taxi ride, I realised what I have been missing as I didn’t find it during the dinner. sigh

I missed one of my old buddies whom I can talk everything. We are being apart now and nothing can change the fact that we have become different persons. sad

I do miss you, pal. sigh

Honest Job ... Please!

It was not quite late when my friends and I went home from a mall. roll eyes

We shared a taxi and as my house was nearer, I would got off from the taxi first. We were near the red light in busy street when my friends screamed. They pointed the car in front of our taxi. uh oh

It was a harrier and there were 2 men plucked its rearview mirrors, both sides. No one got out from their cars to help. Even our taxi driver. shock

It happened so fast, and I could see those two robbers from my taxi’s window, grinning and running away after they got the harrier’s rearview mirrors. scold

I know the car must be insured, but still the car owner has to pay some amount to replace the stolen mirrors. Why those men didn’t get honest jobs? sigh

Family Party

Had to accompany Mom to my cousin’s wedding party last weekend. It is usually my brother's duty, but he had a job, so I was his replacement. roll eyes

I didn’t like going to any of my family wedding party as there would be questions from the family about when my turn is. Hmm ... I don’t turn anywhere ... just go straight dunno

The wedding reception itself was a blast. There were too many people that intimate conversations were limited. What a bless grin

But still sigh, there were several aunts and uncles who said that it would be my turn soon as am too old already. Excuse me, confused Am mature not old blushing

Alright Mom, it will be back to your son's task to accompany you to any family wedding party in the future. I resign for good laugh

Yep, a terrible day but it's OK

It’s started when I arrived at the office in the morning that I forgot to take my files I have been working on from home. doh So I took a second taxi to go and fro for the files. roll eyes

When I was back to the office again, I realised that I left my cellular in the first taxi. blues

I called my number and someone answered it. yay He was an honest person, thankfully, a taxi passenger too. He found my cellular and gave it to Z, the taxi driver, to return it back to me. thumbs up

And the new story began. moping

Had an agreement that Z would return my cellular at 5pm. But when I called my number around 5pm, he was with a passenger. sigh I said ok, and would wait for him.

I was a bit nervous when I looked at the traffic in front of my office building. It was horrible. sad So I called Z at my cellular and informed him to meet me around 7pm.

I called Z around 7pm, and yep, he was with another passenger. moping I requested him to pick me up around 8:30 pm. No response. uh oh

So I left my office building to find out whether Z has arrived or not yet. It was a beautiful sight to see the taxi waiting for me. yay

I asked Z to drop me back. He was a decent person, so I gave him a generous tip as my appreciation to get my cellular back. Thanks Pak! bouquet

What a day!

I was feeling a bit down when I woke up in the morning. Had so many things to do with so limited timesroll eyes . So I tried to maximise my time for today. And it’s Saturday, the day where I was supposed to lay back and relax. No such thing for today, though.yawn

I got text messages from a friend of mine not to forget to pick up her facial toner at the mall. Yes mamwave , am going to pick it up now .... which got me a happy face later. As it was a short trip from home, I didn’t mind picking up her facial toner. Had time to enjoy my favorite fish cake at the food court there too.wink

Next trip was to pick up my document at the travel agent. They were supposed to help me with the visa application for my holiday trip, but my regular agent told me that I have to do it myself. Bummer!roll eyes It meant I have to go to the office late on Monday to drop the document to embassy first. Fortunately, my boss approved my late arrival. Thank you, Boss!laugh

So I took a taxi to the travel agent. To avoid any conversation with the taxi driver, I read a novel during the trip. No such luck, though. 5 minutes inside the taxi, the driver asked me what I was reading. Was I reading a romance novel? Nope, it’s a murder one. He then asked whether I planned to murder someone. Yep, him, definitely.roll eyes

As I was playing deaf and didn’t reply, he got the hints ... not much. After 10 minutes, he asked again whether I was going for a date or not. I said yes, and got my ipod so that I would be left alone. Thank you very much, ipod! grin

My friend who is also my regular travel agent gave me back my document. She made some calls to her head office, talking to the staff in visa department. They didn’t understand clearly about my trip. For I don’t want to take any chances, I decide to go to the embassy myself on Monday. Wish me luck, please.wink

For it was over lunch time, we went to coffee beans for light lunch. I had chicken salad (yummy!) and iced blended green tea (weird taste!) whilst my friend had salmon scramble (fishy!) and iced cappuccino (delicious!). thumbs up

As my friend had to go to the head office, I went to the book store to check new novels. Couldn’t find any of my favorite authors, I decided to go home. But then, a friend of mine called and asked me where I was. We agreed to meet in 1 hour at the mall. So I went to the department store to look around. Was so proud of myself that I didn’t buy any ... oops, I meant I didn’t buy anything expensive.blushing

She came late, so I did window shopping. Met couple of friends too, and they agreed to have early dinner together. We had a good time and it was so nice to meet my friends whom I haven’t seen for months. Thank you all!hug

Cannot Sleep

Have tried to sleep since 9 pm but the noise is too much. sigh

Yep, I do understand that my neighbor is having a wedding party. but why they turn on the music so loud until almost 1 am? And we are in a residential area sad

It is weekend tomorrow. Yes, it's true that not all people have to work at weekend. I don’t have to work either. Unfortunately, I do have to wake up at 7am, which is another 6 hours. roll eyes

Saturday activities

Was glad when my regular masseur came to the house this Saturday morning. Thought I had to go to the masseur place. mumbling

Don’t like the cubicles as they were separated with curtains only. And there was no gender separation. How if someone by mistakes open the curtains whilst we are having a massage session? blushing

So whenever I have to go to the masseur place, I always put on my underwear which make them a bit smelly with the massage oil afterwards. sigh

I was similar to a zebra after my masseur scrub my back.laugh She said that I was not allowed to take a shower after that too. uh oh No way, Jose. laugh I am going for a haircut afterwards, so of course I will take a shower. Don’t want anybody give me a wide berth when I was having a haircut. blushing

G and J picked me up later and they commented that my back was really blue black. Interesting. I have a temporary body tattoo which can last for 2 days. Or maybe I can say to everyone that I was beaten by my angry friends. hmmm

My hairstylist said that my eyes were red. Oops! hole My vampire bloods did show off. Or was it a werewolf who had red eyes? So we went to a nearest department store afterwards to buy sunglasses for me. G bought a cool t-shirt whilst J bought a dark brown lipstick which suited her very much. thumbs up

J left us behind when her boyfriend called. So G and I continued our mall hopping. We took a pedicab to go to another mall for lunch. Almost bought some pirate dvd, but we didn’t do at the end. Not because we were good, but there were no new films. grin

G’s girlfriend came to join us in the afternoon, and she wanted to go to another mall. This time we took a taxi as it was quite further. My legs were killing me, so I begged G and R to leave me at a bookshop and they could continue shopping. nerd

I had fun time at the bookshop until they picked me up for dinner. We went to Pizza Marzano and shared a large pizza, baked mushrooms and two desserts. As the love birds are still too early to go home, I went home by myself. grin

Got text messages from my old friends to see them tomorrow. Oops, another eating out expedition ... and I have gained too much weight already. blushing

My Friday, November 11

Have not been feeling quite well lately, but felt the worst today. Thankfully a colleague of mine has given me some medicines for my fever. Thanks, Girl! hug

C, a friend of my friend kept asking about how to apply visa to Europe for many times. I even explained the same things to her for over 3 times, but she still asks them again. So I finally tell her to call a travel agent. I talked to J, my friend and she mentioned that she has suggested the same thing to C too. So why did C keep asking me not the travel agent? confused

Have promised to see S another friend later evening. She just came for her sister’s wedding party this Sunday. It’s Friday and is very hard to get an unoccupied taxi. I had to wait for over one hour for a taxi. moping

Should agree when T, a friend of mine, offered to pick me up. sigh But then, he would be a chauffeur only as T was not invited to join our dinner. So better not to do so. scold

I finally got my taxi. The traffic was worse, and the driver took the wrong street that I got delayed for 20 minutes. Have told S the bad news, and she said she had to go home. She couldn’t wait for me. I was asked to come to her partner’s house tomorrow morning to see her. No thanks! mumbling She was the one who wants to see me. She knows where I live. I don’t know where her partner’s house is. dunno

I called T, and he was laughing very hard when I told him what happened. Very funny! roll eyes He then took a pity and went to see me with A, his boyfriend. giggle

They even accompanied me for dinner at the food court. Well, I had my dinner, they just had light snacks, for they had their dinner earlier. Thanks guys! You’re very sweet! hug
