I used to think that no one cared about me, always feeling sorry for myself. Then I saw this poem, I've 'tweaked' it a little but its message still got through to me, now I see life differently and am content.
THE FACE IN THE GLASS
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
and the world thinks you king or queen for a day.
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself and see
what that face has to say.
For it's not your Father or Mother nor even your
Husband or Wife whose judgement upon you, they must pass.
For the person whose verdict counts most in your life,
is the one staring back at you in the glass.
You may be like Jack Horner and pull out a plum, then
think you're a clever gal or a guy.
But the face in the glass says you're only a bum if
you can't look it straight in the eye.
That's the person to please, never mind all the rest;
for it's with you right up to the end.
And you've passed the most difficult test in your life,
if that face in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the world, down the pathway of years
and get pats on the back as you pass.
But your final reward will be heartache and tears,
if you've cheated that face in the glass.
If you're not happy with yourself, you won't be happy with anyone else.
Is it just the 'Solar Radiation' causing the disruption to this site I wonder or could we be witnessing the 'End Of Days' prophecy as foretold? 2012 is not far away.
Should we put off our holidays untill 2013?
Without offending any Ladies on here, I just wish that they would look at the 'match info'(what I'm looking for) before sending messages, flowers etc to men and visa-versa. It would save an awful amount of disappointment.
This is another of those films that I could watch over and over again, love it.
What film could you never tire from watching peeps?
My budgie(Strawberry) reacts to ABBA, he whistles and chirps his little head off when he hears their songs. I wonder if anyone elses pet 'reacts' to certain things?

Getting older has its faults, one is memory loss. Silly things that you forget and sometimes makes you angry with yourself but you never forget your friends, well I haven't so lets all be friends.
