Merry Christmas everybody.
At home we celebrate Christmas on the evening of the 24th December. We already had dinner, gift giving and Christmas mass, and one of the gifts which received most laughs was the “A month full of stupid proverbs”. It’s a little booklet with chat up lines my brother received from out niece, ok, he could do with a hint.
Hope all make sense when I translate them from German into English, here are the best ones:
So many curves – and me without brakes.
I have a new alarm clock. Do you want to hear it ringing in the morning?
Your eyes have the same colour as my bed linen.
I don’t want to get you into bed! I’m ok with the couch.
I would like to have breakfast with you. Can I invite you for dinner?
Do you believe in love at first sight? Or do I have to walk past again?
Hey, didn’t we go to different schools when we were kids?
I’m organ donor, do you need something?
I’m new to the area, can you please show me the way to your house?
I’m incredibly rich and have only 2 weeks left to live.
You must be the real reason for global warning.
Is it really that hot in here or is it just you?
I’m lost. Can I go with you?
What kind of landmarks are there in your town, except you?
Hope some of them will work for you in 2014. Happy hunting everyone.
