PT35b

Embedded image from another site

This is just a bit of circuit board.

It isn't part of a countdown timer known as MST 13.

It was never supplied to Libya.

It could not have been used to detonate an IED ( bomb ) on flight panam 103 which fell onto the town of Lockerbie, Scotland, in December 1988.

Nobody knows what pt35b actually is.

The entirety of the Scottish establishment wants you to (i)forget about it or (ii)never to have heard of it.

wooooohooooo...etc

They've let me have a blog. Yup.

Now to wow the blogosphere with my insightful and legendary grasp on humans and their condition.

Or maybe just random rambling.

One of the two.

Who's to say which? Or when.

More soon ( ish )

Belarussian dictator, Lukashenko, has been none too impressed by a publicity stunt manufactured in Sweden.

Very much the last of the Soviets, so to speak, Lukashenko's days are probably numbered...

"The Fishes" by Chris Knight, part of a newbuild on Gloucester Street, St Helier, developed by a company called Dandara.

The reflected building is Jersey Opera House.

I decided to take this photo at night as it really the only chance to get a shot without traffic in it. Gloucester Street is one of St Helier's busiest.

I do have a daytime shot similar to this without traffic ( taken on Christmas morning when there really was no traffic ) but the night-time shot is more interesting I think.

Can you hear...

...the gears and cogs of my grey matter grinding into action?

I'd be surprised if it all wasn't audible to all you fine bloggy pals down under!

While I'm certainly never going to be troubled by the letters PHD I do like to think of myself as reasonably intelligent ( Too clever by half as my dear ol' Ma never tired of saying...)

It just takes a while for things to sink in and settle properly.

For example, it took me a few blog posts to realise I didn't have to load images onto the CS site, thus becoming unhappy at the resizing that happens ( I'm not complaining, it's their site and they offer it free )

So, I load images onto another site and use that URL between the tags. Not rocket science, but I'm sure there was a substantial penny-drop sound effect the other night when I sussed it.

You've read this far and are probs wondering what the photo is...

Whatever your thoughts on Banksy and graffiti you've got to hand it to the dauber ( wee Jocks' joke there n that, aye! ) He's plum good at getting a point across.

Suffice to say, I'm sure worried that all that my pals in the USA have to choose from, politics-wise, is an establishment fuknut from the deluded Xtians, or an establishment fuknut from the deluded Morons ( nope. There is no 'M' in the middle of that word )

I mean, the most powerful Imperial nation on the planet today and they're all on their knees talking to skydaddy. Sheesh!

something slow and put here a long time ago....

I close my eyes and think of all the things I don't want....
and visualise them rolling by: vacuum cleaners; 3D TVs; new phones and cars and hand bags; a neat house in the suburbs.

I think of how unhappy these things would make me and then I am free. If you don't want these things they can never truly have you.

Then I think of wood and I think of my bones as wood, something slow and put here a long time ago.

Heaven 17...

Pioneers in the synth pop world of the early 80s. Not a band I recall much caring for. 11yrs old when they're first album came out, Adam and the Ants were much more my thing :-)

Last night I was lucky enough to be working at their, first of two, gigs in Jersey. Not at all sure what to expect to be honest, but as the evening went on I started to realise just how big an influence bands like Heaven 17 had on the 'pop' world and the bits of it I like.

There probably weren't many people there last night who could hear Skinny Puppy or Nitzer Ebb in the mix, so to speak.

Naturally, the 'industry' has changed beyond all recognition in 30 years. Especially in how music is packaged, counted and consumed. One thing remains and it's true of whichever style of music you care to mention: a group of musicians playing with passion is always a joy to hear.

Every now and then being at work is enjoyable in unexpected ways. Last night was one!

Bet your hat on it....

Nightime after daytime and other certainties.

The recent fine, sunny and glorious weather shall break into cool and grey, with some rainy, stormy stuff in the mix.

" How do you know that, wizened and grizzled one?" I hear you all exlcaim.

Bank Holiday weekend. Say no more.

( Apart from, how very British to be blogging about the weather. Think I'll make myself a cup of tea and find a queue to stand politely in. )

G'day, Howdy, Wilkommen, Bienvenue, a'right n that

Just noticed that my first few out of the blocks posts have attracted some friendly and welcoming comments.

For which I am very grateful. Pleased to meet you all

To answer some of the early points, in no particular order and by no means completely:

i. It's not my intention to blog about bits of my body and the interactions of fluids therein, or thereon. However, I'm not particularly squeamish or embarrassed by such stuff. It has been many years since I had a "See who can pee the highest competition"
( Many, many years in fact. You could say we've all passed a lot of water under the bridge since then )I would imagine such tales belong to a fairly 'specialist interest' but, hey, I'm not going to be judging anyone :-)

ii. I'm going to assume the fire exits doors in an earlier post do open. Could be worth donning a hi-viz and 'inspecting' the place. I've seen the website of the hotel and the only way I'm ever setting foot in that place is to con my in for a little bit. Wear a hi-viz and you're 'official' Everyone knows that.

iii. Scammers? yup, am fairly good at ignoring.

iv. Um, other stuff? Laters, for sure.

As you made it this far, your prize is a picture of a pretty flower from my local park....

It is a shame that the site resizes the pics down a bit, but bet there's nothing to be done really. ( Okay, that sentence was purely for my own amusement on the bitbutbet thing )

Once again, thanks for the warm welcome. You guys head banger
