Do we lose track of life around us?

Is it just me - or does anyone else think that we tend to lose track of important issues around us while we search for elusive love - Love that evades some of us?
We get so caught up in Dating sites. Some people even become obsessive about finding Mr or Mrs Right.
But we are living in a world that throbs with life.
Meteor strikes in Russia, Earthquakes in New Zealand, Wars in Africa, Economical warfare in Europe, Gun and financial issues in the USA and much more.
Should we put aside issues that we care about while trying to date and find love?
I have tried to tell myself that I would stop being the Activist while I find a husband!
Then I wake up and its Black Friday - a "Wear Black" day against Rape and gender violence. Then suddenly its "Save our Rhinos" week. Our rhinos are becoming extinct! Then we have a "State of the Nation" by our non committing President. Today it canned hunting, we need to protect our Lions that are being killed for their bones!
I get so carried away by these daily issues that I dont find time to "find" that husband!
Oh I am dating - but not getting serious. I wish I were one of those people that could "slide" through life and not care about anything else but myself.
But I do care. My global village gets larger by the day. I do care about you and your country. I care about women and children and Child abuse and Gender violence!
I care about everyone that makes up this fragile world of ours.
Its not easy - but I would like to know I was the drop that made the ripple..........

Religion - why does it infiltrate our every day li

Looking through older blogs on CS, I cant but wonder why there are so many topics chosen on religion?

Dont get me wrong - I have nothing against religion - I and a few billion others like me are believers of Hinduism.......

But is it relevant on a dating site?
Will you choose a partner depending on what religion he/she belongs to?
Will you stick to your own religion?
Or are these blogs merely meant as slanging matches that bring out the worst in people?

Religious fanaticism turns me off!
I would much rather know YOU - are you a good person? Are you kind and honest? Are you a humanatarian? Are you a philanthropist willing to help those less fortunate than yourself?
I think these are virtues not many people possess!

I dont want to know how religious you are?
You could pray 5 or 10 times a day and still be a crappy person.

Are you religious?
Or do you just want to date?

Are you safe Dating someone from a Dating Site....

A lady recently came in to work with bruises and a blue eye! She had been attacked by someone she had met on a dating site - he was just plain down violent!

And now a young 30 year old American lady is found murdered in Istanbul - apparently by someone she had met on the internet!

So how do we girls safeguard ourselves?
I think its impossible - how do you really know who you are meeting?
Is it all up to our gut instincts - And what if you dont have any gut instincts?

The thing to do is not go out immediately until you get to know him (or her, lets not be sexist huh?)
Or go out with another couple until you are sure - well almost sure - of the person and their intentions?

The jury is out - come on bloggers - put your thinking caps on - what is safe and how do you know when you are safe!

Personally, I choose to date someone in my vicinity - someone that can be traced if he goes crazy on me!
But is that a guarantee...............

I think I found him - now how do I keep him!

We met on CS - and after 1 date - I find I do like him!
He is a gentleman, exactly what I like in a man.
Goodlooking, intelligent and kind!

But is it too soon?

Should I make the first move or will he think me "cheap" - I am laid back but not too foward!
I know we will meet again - he has mentioned it.
So come on all you CS experts - you know it all, tell me how to go about it!

Arrogant & Rude should stay off dating sites!

I have been on this site for two weeks only and boy have I met rude people!
I dont have to give you my personal email address.
And no - I will not chat on skype - chat here, its a safe site!
And I will not register for Yahoo Messenger - and you tell me I am fussy?
And I am choosy and I wont get a man!
Who died and made you God huh?
What about the arrogance on threads - really? Its a competition out there - to see who can be the most obnoxious and the most arrogant!
Ok so maybe I am a prude or a "goody two shoes" and maybe lots of you may say I should get the hell off this site if I dont like it - but guys look back at your threads - is that how you want to be.....
So the floor is yours - go for it with all the rudeness you can muster - I will watch from the sidelines - and maybe, just maybe throw in a comment or two?

dunno dancing dunno dancing
