The sum of it all!

I recently read one of the blogs with the question "why are we here"...I actually thought she was referring to us as humans and our existence on this great big planet we all call Earth...our Home.

However she was actually referring to those of us who are here, members of CS?

It got me thinking too, the one that posed that question had her reasons, we all have our own reasons for being here.conversing

I have managed to really find some good friends here, some have since gone, and never to be heard of againmoping

Yet some are still around and its really good to still touch basis time and time again.

I have been here on the blogs for quiet awhile now and I guess for me that's where I want to be for now...

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

...There she was at the bar looking so beautiful beyond words and emotions could ever describe.

He walked up to her and with a lot of courage but with a nervous tone politely offered to buy her the next drink. She agreed with a slight nod and a smile that could just melt ice.

They struck up a conversation, though he felt it was not going anywhere he stuck to his wits and continued on hoping that some way somehow he would win her approval. It was her beauty that kept him trying, after all he had spent so many hours picking out the right clothes, the perfect hair cut and grooming himself to his best with the hope he would find Her.

When he had finally felt comfortable around her, and buying her drinks, thinking he had won her over. She hurriedly gulps down the last expensive drink he had bought for her the entire hour they had been together. The goddess according to Him, gets off her high stool, shakes his hand, glances at her watch and as if expecting someone walks out of the pub. Leaving him confused with her "Catch me if you can" glance back at Him grin

Food for thought

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways but narrower viewpoints. We spend more but have less, we buy more but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge but less judgment, more experts yet more problems, more medicine but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom but not our prejudice. We write more but learn less. We plan more but accomplish less. We've learned to rush but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information and to produce more copies than ever but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet and to kill.

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.

Its a New Year!

...I sometimes wonder to myself whats the difference between a New Day and a New Year?

A new day usually signifies a new start, forget yesterday and live for today. The same could be said for the New Year. We make Resolutions for the New Year and I guess the same happens when we all get up to a New Day, do we find ourselves making resolutions for the New Day as well?dunno

The difference between the two is this, for a new day you only wait for a few hours and you get to start fresh again. The latter is you get to wait for hours, days, weeks and months on end then we start all over again.

2014-2015 nothing much has changed except for the numbers, but then again the same happens when we await a new day.

Maybe, just maybe we can always make resolutions every New Day instead of waiting 365 days to make onegrin

Just a thought, any way just want to wish all you CS Bloggers a Safe and prosperous 2015...goodness its almost midnight and the dates about to change from the 20th of Jan to the 21stgrin ...well as for me its just minutes to midnight. And my resolution for the New Day is to do away with procrastination hug

The simple Rules I live by

Live your life to the fullest each day
Donot live with regrets or in the past for too long because it can never be undone
If you have to live in the past do it just for a moment and please recognise when it's time to move out of it and move on; something only you can do with support from loved ones and professionals
Never be too proud to admit your shortcomings
...and please let go of HATE you will feel alot better letting it go because.....

Sometimes I wonder, why we care so much about the way we look.
And the way we talk and the way we act and the clothes we bought, how much that cost.
Does it even really matter?
Cause if life is an up hill battle
We all tryna climb with the same ol' ladder

Why so shallow? I'm just asking
What's the pattern to the madness
Everybody ain't a number one draft pick
Most of us ain't Hollywood actors

But if it's all for one, and one for all

...CS....! keep blogging on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...its been awhile since I blogged so here I go again just wanting to say hi to all the lovely folks who have been members here on CS for as long as they can remember...of cause not including the dodgy profiles (aka scammers). It's around 12:44am here in Suva, a cold Saturday morning; 17th.

I just wanted to say a big vinaka vaka levu ( Thank You) to all of you who have helped in bringing a lot positive ideas on this blog page. Just hope you all continue to keep up with the lovely blogs cause I really do enjoy reading them.....thumbs up

The Art of Being "Yourself" around that Special So

I usually hear this said by alot of people, I must admit @ times I even say it as well "JUST BE YOURSELF". However the reality is that when you are around that gal/guy you trying to impress so much, natural instincts kick in whereby you try to be everything more then just being yourself.

Tell me people has any of you lovely folks ever mastered the art of being themselves whenever they were around that special someone espacially when you were trying to get noticed by them or out on first dates?....Anybodydunno grin

...Just being thankful!

As I write and reflect on this year 2013, I have more to be thankful for then to complain or wine about. We just have a few days to go before the month of May comes to an end and thus we enter into Jun and there you go, its already the middle of the year again. Take a moment to reflect as well, how time flies oh so very fast.

Therefore before time runs out on me, I will just take this moment to be thankful for; good health, though not perfect a family have I, I am still thankful to have them. My few but trustworthy group of friends and to you Bloggers here on CS, for the wonderful blogs, some very thought provoking, encouraging, funny, silly at times but never the less it does drive home a message.

As for me I try to be content with what I am, what I have and what I am lacking. So much to be done in such a short time but I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep...and miles to go before I sleep...tip hat
