The whitelash of America

Amazingly America did what no one in the world expected... they voted in Donald Trump for the highest office in the land! Totally unbelievable!

Well it goes to show how a people can vote against their own self interest!
The majority of white men and women who came out in full support.. did so to ensure that Mr. Trump won!

The rise of attacks by Trump supporters has grown exponentially across the USA and many children of non white people are being bullied by their peers at school and even threatened some by their teachers that they will be deported back home.

Non white Women are being told we can rape you now- Trump won!
Black people are being attacked and called ni**ger much more openly - Trump won!

One would hope that all those who voted, especially those of you who are not white really understand who you voted for.
I have now heard there will a registry for immigrants from Muslim countries!
He has started naming his cabinet members and they include members of the KKK and the alt right! You can all google for yourself and not just accept what someone writes in a blog!

The attached I believe explains exactly what you won now that you Trump supporters have your President- take responsibility for it! Just in case it doesn't show posting from an IPad sucks: the link is Joy Reid on what Donald Trump Voters 'won' on YouTube-

................ .............

On a personal note, this will be my last blog as I have met someone and time constraints makes it impossible to even read some blogs now!
Blessings and best of luck to you all! To my friends on here.... I hope you all find joy in your life as I have! Peace!

16 Things You Should Say Goodbye To In 2016

A colleague shared this with me and I am passing it on!
16 Things You Should Say Goodbye To In 2016 by Rania Naim
1. Say goodbye to the voices in your head that tell you that you are incapable of doing something or being someone. They lie a lot, and you should know that by now.
2. Say goodbye to the need for validation. We all need validation from time to time, but you also don’t have to constantly pursue it. As long as you see your utmost potential or how far you’ve come, you don’t need to seek after anyone to affirm that for you.
3. Say goodbye to all the moments you were not so proud of; forget them and remember that you are a human being who is still learning how to live.
4. Say goodbye to the promises you didn’t keep, know that timing is everything, and good things take time.
5. Say goodbye to the self-doubt and the negativity last year brought. It might not be the happy ending you wanted, but it could possibly be the happy beginning you didn’t see coming.
6. Say goodbye to the times you cried and the times you were in so much pain, and give yourself a pat on the back for getting through yet another obstacle. Sooner or later, you will get to the finish line.
7. Say goodbye to the people who don’t want anything to do with you; they are not meant to be in your life for one reason or another. Focus on the ones who do and the ones who care.
8. Say goodbye to the memory you keep replaying in your head, whether good or bad, the one that is keeping you up at night wondering where it went and whether or not it will happen again. You rewinded them and paused them way too many times; now it is time to find something else to watch.
9. Say goodbye to the addiction you had for your phone, or your laptop, or social media, or anything you were voraciously obsessed with. Spend more time with nature, and teach yourself that too much of anything will eventually suffocate you.
10. Say goodbye to the expectations you had for yourself that by now you should have done this or done that. Life can be messy, and the last thing you need is getting attached to its chaos.
11. Say goodbye to all the words people told you about yourself, the ones that made you love yourself a little less. Think of how little these people know about you and your story or why you are the way you are. Think of how some people like to belittle others to feel good about themselves, and while you are it, say goodbye to these people.
12. Say goodbye to the times you were immature, or out of line, or had no common sense. Remember that these are the moments that remind you that you are not perfect and that you are a work in progress. Take it as a humbling experience and move on.
13. Say goodbye to the times you missed someone who didn’t miss you back. Eventually you will not miss them anymore, and you will learn that other people miss you more than you know.
14. Say goodbye to the trip you didn’t take, or the city you never went to, or the wedding you missed, or the opportunities that passed you by. Not everything will go as planned and you don’t have to carry the guilt with you everywhere you go. Let that be a reminder that no matter how hard we try, we will not always be in control.
15. Say goodbye to the all the flaws you keep pointing out in the mirror and the times you really didn’t like who you were looking at. Buy a new mirror if you have to, but more importantly, start liking who you see and change the way you look at yourself.
16. Finally, say goodbye to the thought that next year will be the same and that nothing will ever change, and start saying hello to all the wonderful possibilities, dreams, and opportunities that are waiting to manifest themselves to you.

Have a beautiful day/night wherever you are! dancing

Cropover time on my island

Every year we celebrate the end of the sugar cane crop in a festival we call "Cropover". (The name speaks for itself)
This festival has grown throughout the years. It is a cohobblopot of traditional ceremonies, music tents and parties. My best friend and her husband are here and we visited a music tent last night. The performers were fantastic. It was a mixture of old and new artistes and music.
Wonderful vibes! We partied and enjoyed ourselves. It was great.
Today is Kadooment day - the last festival day which culminates in a big street party with people joining bands (for a fee) dressed in costumes and dancing in the street from our national stadium to Spring Garden Highway while the latest music of the season plays. They are competitions for best band, most played song etc. banana
I will be enjoying it all from the comfort of my tv. rolling on the floor laughing Much better view.
We may go to the highway later as it is the biggest street party of the year.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day today!

Kick'em Jenny Alert Level Lowered to Yellow

As of approximately an hour ago the Alert Level for Kick'em Jenny volcano has been lowered to Yellow!
Press release below...

NATIONAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT AGENCY (NaDMA) Grenada - The Seismic Research Centre (SRC), University of the West Indies has reported that the activity levels at the Kick-‘em-Jenny under water Volcano has reduced significantly during the last 48 hours. Since 6:00 p.m., on Saturday July 25th, no activity was recorded.

On Saturday, July 25th at around 5:50 p.m., a team including a Volcanologist from the SRC, Grenada’s Acting National Disaster Coordinator, and a camera person, participated in a fly over of the Kick-‘em-Jenny area by helicopter. The volcanologist, Dr. Frederic Dondin, who has conducted extensive research on Kick-‘em-Jenny, concluded, after his observations, that there was absolutely nothing unusual in the area.

Based on the above findings, and given the fact that the activity levels at Kick-‘em- Jenny has diminished, the Government of Grenada, based on the advice of the SRC has lowered the alert level to YELLOW with immediate effect.

The YELLOW alert level means that vessels should observe a 1.5 km exclusion zone. However, as a precautionary measure, the marine community is advised to continue observing the 5 km exclusion zone.

My Sunday just got a lot happier!banana dancing

The Power of Nature

Last week Thursday 16th July 2015 my island home was shaken by earthquakes at 07:01am, 7:52am, 11:16am, 11:29am, 11:36am and 12:23pm local time. The strongest was felt around 11:16am and measured 6.4 on the Richter scale. Our office building just started shaking and swaying.
These earthquakes were reported felt throughout in Barbados, St. Vincent, Grenada, Dominica, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. No damage or injuries were reported. Thank God!

Two days ago...Jul.23.2015
Changed Alert Level at Kick 'em Jenny Submarine Volcano
Current Alert Level: Orange
On Thursday, July 23rd from 1:25am to 3:00am local time, a strong continuous signal was observed on instruments monitoring the Kick ‘em Jenny submarine volcano. Signs of elevated seismicity (earthquakes) began on 11th July and continue to present. For the period since the 11th July a total of more than 200 micro and small earthquakes, of varying magnitudes, have been recorded, with the largest, prior to the strong signal, less than magnitude 3.0.
ORANGE Highly elevated level of seismic and/or fumarolic activity or other unusual activity. Eruption may begin with less than twenty-four hours notice. - All regional governments alerted - Local radio stations in Grenada, St. Vincent, barbados and Trinidad placed on alert. - Public listens to local radio continuously for updates and visits the Seismic Research Unit website if possible.

RED Eruption is in progress or may begin without further warning. - Measurements within the exclusion zones as permitted by activity. - Aerial reconaissance whenever possible. - Vulnerable areas prepared for immediate evacuation. - All shipping stays 5km clear of summit (i.e. out of the first and second exculsion zones). - Public in all vulnerable zones should listen to local radio stations for updates.
We are currently still on Orange alert!

My son said I need to get off this rock! But where can you go when nature decides to remind you of her power?
Hope everyone is well and enjoying your weekend!

Road rage

I have recently started driving again since I brought my new car in January. I have since rediscovered a tiny little thing called road rage.mumbling

I have to admit I have serious road rage. Don't let my appearance fool you, I can cuss like a pirate if I get really upset. I am not shy when it comes to using my horn. I keep wondering if some of these drivers brought their license instead of paying for them.frustrated

Thank God I only live 10 minutes from my office! Even though this is the case I go to the office early to avoid the traffic.
I tell my vice president when she asks why I arrive so early at the office that I worry that I would cuss out another driver for their driving then go to a meeting to a potential client and it is the same person I cussed out.sigh

So I will continue to avoid the early morning traffic and go to the office early.

Have a Terrific Tuesday and avoid the crazy drivers out there!

The Pain of Being in love with someone you can nev

I came across the article and found it interesting so decided to share.

The Pain Of Being In Love With Someone You Can Never Be With by Paul Hudson

Love is a tricky thing. It varies in intensity and in the specificity of emotions. It is sometimes the most beautiful thing in the world and, at other times, it’s the most horrid thing we’ve ever come face-to-face with.

It’s odd how one thing could be the cause of so many contrary feelings. But that’s what makes love so beautiful – it’s the closest thing to perfection that exists in the world, the only thing that can easily and comfortably encompass both good and evil, beautiful and ugly.

It’s the closest thing to a flawless whole that man has ever claimed to have been part of.

When we think of love, we think of the happy kind of love, the kind that is the beginning of something beautiful – something that breathes life.

There is, however, another kind of love, a much darker and sadder kind of love. It’s the love one feels when one loves someone he or she can never and will never have.

It’s the kind of love that doesn’t signal the beginning of something beautiful, but rather the end of something that might have been beautiful, but will never amount to anything more than what it is.

Contrary to popular belief or popular wishful thinking, love doesn’t always end happily. It doesn’t always result in the joining of two people, the fusing of two lives into one.

Sometimes, on rare occasions, it results in the wedging apart of the two who love each other the most. You can love someone with all your soul and never get a chance to be with that person. Even worse, you can know that you love him or her, understanding there is no possibility that the two of you will ever be together.

Some people cannot and will not ever end up together, even if they do love each other. It’s a sad truth, but a truth, nonetheless.

The fact is, love is not enough. All those fairytales, all those stories and movies you’ve heard and watched growing up, lied to you. Love is never enough because love is not rational.

You hear that love is irrational all the time, yet you still hear the same people saying that love is enough to keep two people together.

Unfortunately, we live in a world governed by rationality, and while love may be irrational, and we may manage to make it work for some time, the real world always catches up with us and our irrational illusions dissipate into thin air.

Then we are left with reality and reality doesn’t always reason the way lovers do.

Some people don’t work out together. They have habits or beliefs that make it impossible to co-habitate with the person they love. There isn’t a couple out there that loves every little thing about one another.

Sure, they may find certain quirks cute or unique, but they don’t love them; they simply accept them. There are some people who have such habits, tendencies, or thinking patterns that really do make them incompatible with the other person.

The two may love each other fully, because remember, love isn’t rational, yet not be able to live and deal with each other forever. This is why relationships require compromise.

You’re not going to love everything about the person you are with, but you love enough about him or her to live with the things you don’t love. Not all people are willing to, or even able to, compromise. Sometimes it just doesn’t work, regardless of what our emotions tell us.

Compromising, of course, is a choice. You either choose to make it work or you choose not to. I believe this fully. As long as something doesn’t go against your nature, over time you can make it work. But there are still some cases when compromising isn’t enough.

Noisy neighbour

My new neighbor for the past months has been driving me crazy. From what I have been told he is married but he uses the apartment as a love nest for all his side chicks. He is a young man who is a doctor by profession. Last night he was with one of his "women" and they were having loud sex. This particular woman is extremely loud.I can hear her moaning and dirty talk. The neighbours across from the complex can hear her too.
I can only imagine it is to make him believe the sex is great.
I can't understand why he won't use the other bedroom where I can't be disturbed.
The apartments in my complex each have 2 bedrooms. He is in one of the apartment at the end so if he is the master bedroom I shouldn't hear him. But for some reason he chooses to be in the guest room which is, you guessed it, right next to my room.
Last night I turn my tv volume up and she got louder. My only consolation is it is only once maybe twice a week.
I am thinking of recording them and then the next time they are there playing it loudly for them to hear. Have it playing on a loop and leave home let them see how it feels. Only drawback they might just like it.

I am considering moving out but I hope I don't have to. Another neighbour is his friend so I am going to talk to him and see if he can convince him to use the master bedroom instead. If not, I will definitely be looking at moving.
