ultimate technology

We are taught it all started with stone tools.

Then fire was discovered.

The wheel.

metalurgy and then gunpowder.

Then machines.

We discovered if we mix fuel with the machine we have the engine.

Now we have machines fueled my electricity able to think and compute.

We have now incorporated all that for the robot.

Perhaps a self replicating robot is in the future.

Or are we there already, with the human?

With the discovery of dna

I wonder if our maker is concerned about how far we have come.

recently caught on video in India

Many people witnessed it. Supposedly a UFO was seen near also.

What do you think it is?

dunno

I remember when people first started carrying cell phones with cameras...the nay-sayers of UFO's would say, there are so many cameras, why hasn't anything been caught on them. Well...maybe in due time.

Immortality

Do we become immortal when our name and date of birth and death become engraved in a granite stone?

If you think about what stands the test of time.

Would you write your most important bit of wisdom on your stone for the future of humanity (provided there is a future of humanity)?

So...immortality is real then.

Is this right?

I know relationships can be complicated. They can be complicated to the point where the individuals involved within them have their own unique set of rules they each have become to respect. With that said, I know the answer to certain questions may or may not be as simple as yes or no. There might actually be qualifiers/stipulations that come along with them. Really, it boils down to the individuals within the relationship on what they are willing to accept and not accept.

But....here is the question.

I have personally seen this and have heard it from many friends. I am not saying it is a common event, but I think it might be more common than one might think.

Is it right for a woman in a relationship to threaten her man with various forms of retribution if he decides to go out with his friends....or...even go visit his family. Now the family thing, I think might be a little more rare but the friends issue, I have heard on more than one occasion.

What I do hear a lot now days is....how men will proclaim, "I like my freedom."

Is this a man issue only or do women run into the same issues?
Do women feel the same about having their freedom?
Do you really lose your freedom when you meet the right person...meaning allowing you your boundaries and allowing your individuality?
Is it really fair for your spouse or significant other to throw threats out there...or is it time to move on?
Have we now become a new society when it comes to relationships?

Happy Saturday all.

If you believe...even somewhat...in astrology

Then you would have to believe that the alignment of the planets and the stars have power/influence over human life and or behavior.

It is said we are entering into a new era. An era that is completely out of our hands and will be dictated by the universe and its alignments. It is said to be a sort of golden era on a celestial level...humans are to become Christ-like....I have heard it described. Secrets of one's thoughts will no longer exist, where people will be able to know what you are thinking.

If you do not believe in astrology, then perhaps you can explain how it has existed for 1000's of years. That's a lot of crazy people out there over a long period of time.

Speaking of crazy. I was at a major hardware store today and the worker lady said something I thought was interesting....I can tell later she was sort of embarrassed for saying it...because it really came out of nowhere. While we were behind the computer and she was showing me the list of materials available, she blurted out, "no wonder people are crazy these days." I forget what we were talking about...but it really did not fit with what we were talking about. Perhaps she meant I was crazy. lol

Maybe it is just around my area here. But there have been some weird things going on lately. For example, at the same store 2 days earlier, they only had two checkouts open and there were two lines of people in the store that went halfway through it...and it is a large store. I have never seen that before. My dad and I literally had to wait about 20 minutes to get checked out.

Just today, hearing sirens in town (and I live in a very tiny town) I learnt that there was another serious roll-over accident at the same corner...that accident being the second one there in the last week. Whereas, there has not been an accident there for as long as I can remember.

A couple of days back...I have known my neighbor since he moved in 2 years ago. He is always a happy go lucky type...always willing to help out...always seemingly happy. We were talking and he used the "F" word. I remember feeling a bit shocked by that...that is the first time I have heard him use it.

Validity of Freewill

Freewill can be considered one's choices they want to make.

What happens when you don't have any choices or no resources to implement them?

dunno

I have it better than I have ever imagined.

Wow. Is about all I can say and in addition, what an eye opener to life. I have been living in blindness. Well, I have been living from a perspective of a pampered person. I have discovered first hand how growing up with both mom and dad around guiding me...being there for me....giving me a moral compass...being an open refuge at any time...showing me how to use my moral compass...etc.

What a beautiful upbringing. We were poor granted, we didn't have much....but we had a large family of 10 use and we all get along together even to this day.

Now to the eye opener.

Talking with a lady this weekend. She is 27. While sobbing her eyes out...she over and over proclaimed to me that "I have nothing, I have nothing." She wants a guy to love her. Puzzled...she was with a guy at the bar already. She explained that he was essentially a piece of crap, abusive, controlling, and he told her that he will be seeing other women also. She explained to me that she didn't know who her father was..her mother was a horrible person and she was raised by her grandparents who are now not wanting anything to do with her. She kept on saying, she is a strong woman. She does not know what a loving relationship even is...she never seen one and knows nothing about it. She had learned the street way on how to survive basically.

There are so many luxuries one has that has a strong supportive base if life happens to temporarily overcome you vs. ...somebody having nothing to fall back on.

It was a sad experience. She left with a smile with the abusive man. (putting on her happy face disguise.)

Some terrible realities out in life.

how do you respect

How do you respect somebody who does not respect themselves; therefore, making it likely they do not respect others.

....

My first suspicion, ...help them past that harsh self-inner voice would be a good start. As just read about...this voice is most likely developed from childhood and is most likely not even relevant in adulthood...but it is still something that needs to be addressed in adulthood.

It is a vicious cycle...one feeding the other....making things internally darker in the suffering mind.

By the way...this is a real experience I am tending with as I type this. It is emotionally painful....especially when it is a person that is very close. Something tells me...a lot of this is going on given the recent climate of society and Covid.

averages.....

Does the universe operate on averages, or do we use averages to deceive ourselves?

....an example...

I was just sorting out some items that have been randomly assigned 4 digit numbers. There was a stack of about 70 items.

I was sorting them in piles by their first digit. About half way through, I noticed that each pile had about 4 or 5 items in it while the #3 pile had none. I thought to myself about averages and is their any validity to them? The next item in the pile I was sorting was an 8, then the next one was a 3. Okay, my first 3. I thought well, that 3 stack is still low...if average may have validity, there should be more 3's coming. And wouldn't you know it, shortly afterwards, there were 3 more 3's. hmmm

Happy Thursday all.
