One thing about being at the hospital so often is that it reminds us how fragile our body is. Without a healthy body it is very difficult for us to enjoy life not to mention the cost we incur specially if insurance is not available and even if it is, the co pay is eating us alive.
Anyways, on one of my visit to a friend who is there on and off for lung cancer, there was an open discussion about what food to eat to prevent cancer.
Just google "cancer fighting foods" and you would be surprised at the array of fruits and vegetables that appear on the screen.
But for purposes of this discussion, the Doctor that was in charge of the open meeting specially mentioned four particular foods that truly beats cancer and that makes us very healthy. Here they are:
Salmon, spinach, peas, and potatoes. With the exception of potatoes, I eat most of them in addition with my bitter melon, and all Asian vegetables that are not always available at the supermarket. On the farmer's market however, depending on where you live, it might be of abundance. In California, the organic grown vegetables sold on the open market season which is mostly from May to September, offer many of these rather rare but very healthy induced greens. In Bakersfield, the Golden farmer market, is open all year round on weekends.
Anyways, at my age, and have since dodged two cancers (1994, and 2014), I am feeling so young and very healthy. I do 100 push ups a day and go to the gym as diligently as possible.
Question: How important is health to you? Sometimes, until we see people who are really afflicted due to negligence, we do check in our practices and sometimes, it is too late.
Note: Sadly, most of those attendees on the said meeting were all obese and very unhealthy but it is better late than never, I guess.
That is all and have a good healthy day for all of us.
Don't forget, google "cancer beating foods." Start investing in our health.
