what are we thankful for?

The year is almost over. Sometimes if is also the time when we look back and account what we have done. Taking into consideration all those who affected us and those we affected as well.

I'm sure with all the experiences we've had there's a lot to be thankful of. And or wish wouldn't have happened. This then shape our desire to change or ultimately guide us to set our so called NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION.

Better yet, are there things you'd specifically wish would happen in your life in the year ahead?

Can you share some?

Thanks all for your reads and comments.

May we all have a joyful and peaceful journey in our lives.

why do we blog?

Or better yet why do we even read what is on the blog?

I do know that it is only recently where the varieties of what we can read and or write on this section are required to be identified.

It used to be the format only on the poetry but recently it has been added on here.

Anyways, I am so bored tonight and perhaps this will enlighten me a bit.

What about you?

Thanks for all your read and comments.

And may we all have a peaceful and joyful life in the coming year.

Have a nice day and or night fellow citizens of CS, scammers or otherwise.cheers wine

NOTE: I came across a response that some write just to impress others and show off their other personalities to be noticed???

While I don't ever think of it this way, it is nice to know the many varied reasons we all have.

what's next?

In a deadly game that question determines who's the loser or the victor.

Like any war, the sequence of the move calls for either a bluff or a check mate. Either way it's a deadly claw of despair and annihilation.

Chess moves can definitely guide the act that follows. That's if the players are up to it.

I was flying to San Francisco and voila, the news on the Sony fiasco got twisted to an unexpected turn.

North Korea's WEB is completely annihilated.

A great comment on my last blog by one of my participant pasted a news from BBC, about the shameful results on N. Korea's hacking fiasco.

I'm more concerned at this time as to the impact that was never expected.

Or did they?

Any opinions?

the interview

Front page on the news today is about the cancellation of the movie THE INTERVIEW. Further on I realized there's a serious political implication that can compromise our safety?

Has anybody got any clarification about this?

The latest on the Mechanics of War

I was reading the latest news on the weapons of war and I am so flabbergasted on the capability when it comes to its power on destruction. But what bothers me most is why they even report it when in fact this should be as secretive as it should be?

Anyways below is a report written by Jeffrey Lin and Peter Singer on Popular Science Magazine December 2014.

A most intriguing development on the world's crazy attempt to annihilate human beings.

HGV - unmanned hypersonic glide vehicle.

Countries testing them? China and US

Capabilities? Capable of traveling faster than 10X the speed of sound- MACH 25 or 16,000 miles per hour.

When is expected to be operational? 2019

"If weaponized HGVs could fly as far as intercontinental ballistic missiles (more than 3,500 miles) but strike with greater accuracy. Since the gliders don't fly in a predictable parabolic arc like ballistic missiles do, they would be exceedingly difficult to shoot down with traditional missile defenses. And their speed would make possible a whole new pace of war. For example, upon discovering the location of a terrorist leader in Syria, and HGV fired from US army base in Western Europe could hit the target in half an hour."

I am kind of like what is this world getting into? So we can be evaporized fast in the clouds?

And most importantly, please don't be caught suspected as a terrorist?

Our Society and its illnesses today

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

I was privileged to participate in the current conference of the Human Rights held in the main office in New York today and tomorrow and I am particularly involved in this segment. Our most challenging task in curving if not completely stopping the sales of human flesh. Virtual participation is possible.

This is going to be the center of the discussion tomorrow. Anyone who wants to participate, just log into HUMAN RIGHTS/2014 conference. There are so many concerns that are provocatively straining our society today but this is where my heart is.

Below is the topic that will be held in the morning tomorrow. Copied from the context of the discussion.

Can We Bankrupt the Business of Human Trafficking?

"Modern day slavery is a human rights scourge that affects an estimated 21 million people. It's also a hugely profitable—and growing—global business, bringing in $150 billion a year for the exploiters. Business is booming largely because exploiters operate with relative impunity. Many companies have started to focus on ridding their supply chains of slave labor. But there's another supply chain that's relevant here: the many actors that recruit, transport, and house the victims along the way to final sale or exploitation, as well as those who move the money associated with this criminal enterprise. The private sector could play a game-changing role in disrupting this network by making slavery more risky and less profitable. This panel will feature case studies of private sector initiatives—including public-private partnerships—designed to bankrupt the business of trafficking."

Thank you so much for all your reads and participation.

My personal view: If there is a buyer, there will always be a seller. Or vice versa. Question is, can we truly stop it? Or we're just dreaming.

Could drug heals a broken heart?

I was reading the Popular Science magazine, December 2014 issue, and with a jaw dropping bold letters reads like this:

COULD DRUGS HEAL A BROKEN HEART?

The author Jessica Hullinger documented a research by an Australian psychologist at the University of Sydney Adam Guastella, that when she administered OXYTOCIN, to a quarelling lovers during their therapy, their hostility seemed to die down. And with this result, this medicine, a love "OFF BUTTON" can possibly heal a broken heart, she says.

There is a down side to this wonder discovery as argued by Brian Earp, an Oxford University neuroethicist, and published it against this "ANTI LOVE BIOTECHNOLOGY" (He claims that since it will be developed, we should start discussing about ethical issues now that would guide its usage and supported that it should be voluntary, concomitant to therapy and must be monitored for possible misuse. He did emphasize the fact that today there is an extensive attempt to harness BIOMEDICINE, primarily to diminish SAME SEX SEXUALITY.)

In line with this argument, Neil McArthur, a philosophy professor at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg Canada, pointed out that this drug "might make sense specially for the cases of pedophilia or abuse where people are behaving in a way that is potentially destructive."

Another argument against it was explicitly explained by Vineeth John, a psychiatrist at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and said: "Love is revered like religion and for many it's the primary reason for survival, until therapy is practiable, ANTI LOVE DRUGS, would not only dampen affection but snuff out feelings for friends and family. To fully relieve heartache then scientists may have first to discern how to relieve us of our capacity to love."

In my simple analysis, we are coming to the discovery that love will now be cured like a headache? Should you want to stop loving that person, all you have to do is to keep taking this medicine. Question is, how much will it cost? And for how long should we take it?

Hmmnn, what a world we are getting into.

Then again, perhaps there will no longer be sorrows, pain, hurt associated to love?

We stand to lose our emotional gifts and passionate dispositions replaced by robotic manipulations. Hello Spock.

LET'S BE UNITED AS ONE. ..FELLOW AMERICANS....

I must have lost my sense of character lately. scold scold conversing moping

With all these boiling negative explosive rift rendered to our sense of unity, even I am ashamed of what I have become. ..crying sigh

But now looking at from the outside of the box, I do feel the conspiracy thrown out there against us all, the true citizens of this young nation. ...wow doh

I feel some powerful force is dipping their magic wand to disunite us, break us, alienate us. Ultimately disenfranchise our strength as a solid true soul of this country. We, the melting pot of the world. Black, white, brown, yellow, race. Nowhere on this planet has any part where all of us came to become united as one:

"WE PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL."

So can I make a suggestion to stop this rift going on against each other and support every effort that promotes our unity, love and respect for all regardless of race, color and or religion?

I am apologetic to the character and slander I have participated in lately and to those I have caused hurt and disillusion, please forgive me.

We must not crave this damage any further and I am here to use this season to greet everyone peace and joy.

Note: I was watching area 51 tonight and how we've survived the cold war and it occurred to me how fragile indeed life is.

Yet how happy I am that I am here where our freedom to express our thoughts, our minds, practice our own culture and religion is allowed by the backbone of all our laws, our CONSTITUTION.

After all, wasn't it this young nation that ultimately gave every right to every color in the world as one true citizen? That even those who illegally entered can also possibly be granted a chance? So for the good of all, let's give peace a chance, shall we?

Note 2: I have witnessed and seen both the poorest and richest countries in the world, yet none compared to this country, my country guarantees, the true and sincere practice and applications of freedom. This doesn't make it all perfect but nothing comes close on any part of this world, hence the title of this blog. IMHO.

Have a nice evening and or day. sad flower

travels and places to go

I'm deviating from my usual entries of interest. This blog is inspired by the show I was watching last night. About the best yet economical places in the world to experience a remarkable and memorable vacation spot without breaking the bank.

I would want everyone to participate where they've been and why they recommend it? Doesn't have to be outside of their own country yet it's very beautiful and worth seeing?

Anyone? Thanks all for your reads and comments and contributions fellow citizens of CS.

Note: A friend who's never been out of Australia always go to the same place during his vacations. He's well off so it's not a matter of money. Well he hates flying but his response whenever I ask him is this: "Why would I go anywhere, the water in my place (Port Stephens), is the same. The weather would be the same, so why bother going so far away when here's a perfect place."

I've traveled in many places but not in South America, or Africa yet and my bucket lists includes Machu Pichu, and the Amazon.

Please share us your most desired place you've been into or even still planning to go to.

Thanks again.

Danger. . Are we stupid? Or what?

Thanks to our greed driven media. Did you notice? Seems like the only anchors on TV shows now are Ms. WORLD, look alike CONTESTANTS, with hardly any clothes on... (don't get me wrong, I love and enjoy them),
Yet the male counterparts are so dressed up to the nines, with suit....

What does this tell us? It's all in the ratings. Am I wrong?

relationships and our frustrations

Let's be honest here. Who doesn't want a perfect relationship? Meaning no fighting, bickering, complaining. Just sweet, joyful and lovely?

Is it possible? Of course not. In the real sense, once in a while, yes. But for as long as we're human living in an imperfect world with our flawed partners, chances are, there's more challenging and sometimes more difficult wringing of our nerves, poking our minds and hurting our hearts.

Relationship is a journey of constant testing. We're like creatures swimming in a pool of turbid water, searching for the clear path so the light can come in.

But that's the way it is, in our mission to find that light, we should keep our heads settled firmly above our shoulders and think of it as our way to live embracing every moment with gusto and enthusiasm, instead of bitterness and criticism.

It's our life. Only us can accept and or change. Blaming and pointing fingers will never improve nor enlighten us. If anything it will ruin us.

So before we say anything derogatory of hurtful, we must stop and hold it inside until we calm down.
Breath deep and picture our love towards each other like flowers blooming amidst the sun and rain. Which sometimes in a split second can be a matter of dark storms, brutal gales and killer typhoons. After which the sun comes back again, and again.

At the end of the day, there's us, together, living this difficult and challenging life. But on top of everything, it's a beautiful, interesting and wonderful life.

Wouldn't you agree? Grow up and face the music. Don't you ever tell me I'm complicated and a liar. In reality, we can all be, if we choose to. I don't.

Thanks all for your reads and comments.
