African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana)

The African elephant (Loxodonta africana) is a very large herbivore having thick, almost hairless skin, a long, flexible, prehensile trunk, upper incisors forming long curved tusks of ivory, and large, fan-shaped ears. There are two distinct species of African elephant: African forest elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis) and the African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana). Elephants are difficult to hunt because despite their large size, they are able to hide in tall grass and are more likely to charge than the other species.

Black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis)

The black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis) is a large, thick-skinned herbivore having one or two upright horns on the nasal bridge. Rhinoceros may refer to either black or white rhinoceros. Among big five game hunters, the black rhinoceros is preferred, although it is now critically endangered.

African Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer)

The African or Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a large horned bovid. Buffalo are sometimes reported to kill more hunters in Africa than any other animal. A similar claim is also made of hippos and crocodiles, but these statements include all people and not strictly hunters. The Cape Buffalo is considered by many to be the most dangerous of the big five, reportedly causing the most hunter deaths, with wounded animals reported to ambush and attack pursuers.

Lion (Panthera leo)

The lion (Panthera leo) is a large carnivorous feline of Africa and northwest India, having a short, tawny coat, a tufted tail, and, in the male, a heavy mane around the neck and shoulders. Lions are desirable to hunters because of the very real danger involved. A lion may attack without provocation, and is considered by many to be the best of the big five.

Leopard (Panthera pardus)

The leopard (Panthera pardus) is a large, carnivorous feline having either tawny fur with dark rosette-like markings or black fur. Of the big five, it is most difficult to acquire hunting licenses for leopards. The leopard is considered the most difficult of the big five to hunt because of their nocturnal and secretive nature. They are wary of humans and will take flight in the face of danger. The leopard is solitary by nature, and is most active between sunset and sunrise, although it may hunt during the day in some areas. Leopards can be found in the savanna grasslands, brush land and forested areas in Africa.

Conservation status

The African lion and the African bush elephant are both classified as vulnerable. The African leopard and the white rhinoceros are both classified as near threatened. The black rhinoceros and northern white rhinoceros are both classified as critically endangered so hunting them is greatly restricted. The African buffalo is the most popular big five game animal to hunt, as its conservation status is least concern, but it is experiencing a population decline in uncontrolled areas due to poaching and urbanization.

Domination of the Inferior !

What domination ?

Never happened, ever !

The exercise of power or influence over someone or something, or the state of being so controlled.

Domination goes hand in hand with perceived control over others. A Self-esteem that needs a serious boost on a regular basis also apply.

These people u can find anywhere:-
- In the poorest to richest areas. (Violence in any form)
- At ur place of work. (The one everyone is scared of)
- In the Shopping Mall (U can spot them screaming at each other)

Just be carefull, the inferior, might just be the superior. It is so funny when the inferior actually realises that they have the control, as they have all the proof. Perception cannot be controlled.

Can u find any of this said personality type, anywhere ?

They don't want a relationship realy, but will go out of their way to try to convince u that they definitely do. They'll swear to it too, until they got into ur pants. If they enjoyed the experience, they will continue in the same line.

The Argumentative Personality

(abbreviated version)

Do you feel like some people you know enjoy arguing just for the sake of arguing?

Negatives
Here’s what’s not so great about the Argumentative Personality:
Habitual ‘argument stokers’ can drive you crazy, especially when you live or work with them; it’s hard to have a conflict-free conversation with them, even about trivial matters.
Many, if not most, of them have strong narcissistic tendencies; in other words, they are very self-absorbed.
They have little, or hardly any, insight into how their behaviours impact others.
When they come across people whose views differ from their own, they feel threatened, and go on the defensive.
They are chronic blamers: others, or the world, are always at fault.

Positives
There are minimal good points about the Argumentative Personality:
Being consistently at the mercy of an Argumentative Personality can help build motivation to stand up for yourself.
We can learn debate techniques from those who passionately defend their views.

How do I deal with the Argumentative Personality?
It takes lots of energy to defend yourself and maintain self-esteem when you have to deal with a person that sees you as the source of wrongdoing. Here are some suggestions on how to maintain your sanity when working or living with an argumentative person:

Freedom of speech vs Hate speech

Hate speech, outside the law, is speech that attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as gender, ethnic origin, religion, race, disability, or s*xual orientation.

In law, hate speech is any speech, gesture or conduct, writing, or display which is forbidden because it may incite violence or prejudicial action against or by a protected individual or group, or because it disparages or intimidates a protected individual or group. The law may identify a protected group by certain characteristics.

In some countries, a victim of hate speech may seek redress under civil law, criminal law, or both. A website that uses hate speech is called a hate site. Most of these sites contain Internet forums and news briefs that emphasize a particular viewpoint.

There has been debate over how freedom of speech applies to the Internet as well as hate speech in general.

Critics have argued that the term "hate speech" is a contemporary example of Newspeak, used to silence critics of social policies that have been poorly implemented in a rush to appear politically correct.

Freedom of speech is the right to communicate one's opinions and ideas without fear of government retaliation or censorship. The term freedom of expression is sometimes used synonymously, but includes any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used.

The right to freedom of expression is recognized as a human right under article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). Article 19 of the ICCPR states that "everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference" and "everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice". Article 19 additionally states that the exercise of these rights carries "special duties and responsibilities" and may "therefore be subject to certain restrictions" when necessary "or respect of the rights or reputation of others" or "or the protection of national security or of public order (order public), or of public health or morals".

Maslow's hierarchy of needs:- (The shortened version).............

He used the terms "physiological", "safety", "belongingness" and "love", "esteem", "self-actualization", and "self-transcendence" to describe the pattern that human motivations generally move through.

Physiological needs:-
Air, water, food, clothing and shelter. While maintaining an adequate birth rate shapes the intensity of the human s*xual instinct.

Safety needs:-
With their physical needs relatively satisfied, the individual's safety needs take precedence and dominate behavior. In the absence of physical safety – due to war, natural disaster, family violence, childhood abuse, etc. – people may (re-)experience post-traumatic stress disorder or transgenerational trauma. job security is required.

Love and belonging:-
After physiological and safety needs are fulfilled, the third level of human needs is interpersonal and involves feelings of belongingness. Friendship, Intimacy, Family

Esteem:-
All humans have a need to feel respected; this includes the need to have self-esteem and self-respect. Esteem presents the typical human desire to be accepted and valued by others. People often engage in a profession or hobby to gain recognition. These activities give the person a sense of contribution or value. Low self-esteem or an inferiority complex may result from imbalances during this level in the hierarchy. People with low self-esteem often need respect from others; they may feel the need to seek fame or glory. However, fame or glory will not help the person to build their self-esteem until they accept who they are internally. Psychological imbalances such as depression can hinder the person from obtaining a higher level of self-esteem or self-respect.

Self-actualization:-
"What a man can be, he must be." This quotation forms the basis of the perceived need for self-actualization. This level of need refers to what a person's full potential is and the realization of that potential. Maslow describes this level as the desire to accomplish everything that one can, to become the most that one can be. Maslow believed that to understand this level of need, the person must not only achieve the previous needs, but master them.

Self-transcendence:-
In his later years, Maslow explored a further dimension of needs, while criticizing his own vision on self-actualization. The self only finds its actualization in giving itself to some higher goal outside oneself, in altruism and spirituality.

--> Now take each separate point into account, and produce Pro’s and Con’s for Maslow Hierarchy of needs.

--> Always ask why, never mind who or what it is. Don’t take anything at face value, get proof first.

--> Live and learn !!! This blog is information, requiring Intelligent investigation within urself.

Great Sphinx of Giza

Great Sphinx of Giza.....................................

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Embedded image from another site

The Great Sphinx of Giza commonly referred to as the Sphinx of Giza or just Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining or couchant sphinx (a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human head) that stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the face of the Pharaoh Khafra.

It is the largest monolith statue in the world, standing 73.5 metres (241 ft) long, 19.3 metres (63 ft) wide, and 20.22 m (66.34 ft) high. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture, and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom during the reign of the Pharaoh Khafra (c. 2558–2532 BC)

Mythology
Colin Reader has proposed that the Sphinx was probably the focus of solar worship in the Early Dynastic Period, before the Giza Plateau became a necropolis in the Old Kingdom (c. 2686–2134 BC). He ties this in with his conclusions that the Sphinx, the Sphinx temple, the Causeway and the Khafra mortuary temple are all part of a complex which predates Dynasty IV (c. 2613–2494 BC). The lion has long been a symbol associated with the sun in ancient Near Eastern civilizations. Images depicting the Egyptian king in the form of a lion smiting his enemies date as far back as the Early Dynastic Period.

In the New Kingdom, the Sphinx became more specifically associated with the god Hor-em-akhet (Hellenized: Harmachis) or "Horus-at-the-Horizon", which represented the pharaoh in his role as the Shesep-ankh (English: Living Image) of the god Atum. Pharaoh Amenhotep II (1427–1401 or 1397 BC) built a temple to the north east of the Sphinx nearly 1000 years after its construction, and dedicated it to the cult of Hor-em-akhet.

I did some research, and read some books on Egypt in my past, the pyramids, culture and Sphinx.(Robert Bauval & Graham Hancock)

Values ?

We were all born innocent, without any faults or values.

Our caregivers then teaches us as we grow up what we should and should not do. We meet people along the way who influences us to become the person we are when leaving school/university/college finally, and have to now stand on our own feet, with hopefully a full education behind us.

Along the way we have built up a value system, to start living by, and as we grow older the values change according to what we learn from life.

Some people never learn from mistakes and tend to repeat them time and again, so their value systems actually go backward as one value falls the others r next, and some could not care less in that position, as they have reached the down and out stage, and just need a helping, caring hand to get back up to speed.

Thus:- Values r picked up from being born till u expire.

How many values have u retained after leaving school, and then after the first divorce, and then the next (R u loosing values or adding to them) Hurt r then causing lots of harm to u emotionally and ur value system. After each harm in ur life u must use this time to first heal before going onto the next goal, but what invariably happen is that people marry again during the rebound stage as they cannot handle being alone. Will they ever grow up then, to their full extent, or r they bound to go backwards all the time for the rest of their lives, till when some caring person gives them advice, which invariably they will discard, and get angry about.

Values r so important in ur life. Learn from them. Build them up further and become the person u r meant to be !
