Eyewitnesses noted he looked unusually fetching in an elegant Dolce & Gabbana evening gown and a Dior sun hat.

"We wouldn't raid Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate or Melania's wardrobe unless it was absolutely, 100% necessary," said Garland. "I resent any accusation that this raid was influenced by partisan politics or my insatiable desire to wear pretty designer dresses." The Attorney General then did a little spin in his purple gown as the press gasped with delight.

FBI Director Christopher Wray echoed the statement as he strode up to the Hoover Building in a dazzling pair of diamond-encrusted Alexander McQueen stilettos. "The men and women of the FBI are paragons of unassailable integrity and impartiality, and any suggestion otherwise is murderous treason," he said. Several news outlets present also noted the delicious smell of Chanel No.5 in the air.

At publishing time, Trump took to Truth Social to announce that all his golf clubs were also missing.

Author Salman Rushdie Stabbed Before New York Speech

An author who angered Muslims with his 1988 book, “The Satanic Verses”, they called blasphemous was stabbed Friday, in New York.

Indian-born Salman Rushdie, 75, has received death threats ever since, fueled by a 1989 fatwah issued by the late Iranian leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei. The current leader of Iran has not issued a fatwah of his own but a large bounty, approaching $3 million is reportedly offered for anyone who kills Mr. Rushdie.

The author was stabbed in the neck around 11 a.m., as he was preparing to deliver a lecture upon a Western New York stage, according to a Friday statement from NY State Police Troop A Commander Major Eugene Staniszewski.

“Rushdie suffered an apparent stab wound to the neck, and was transported by helicopter to an area hospital. his condition is not yet known,” Major Staniszewski stated. “The interviewer suffered a minor head injury. A state trooper assigned to the event immediately took the suspect into custody.”

Governor Kathy Hochul, D-N.Y., said during a press conference the state trooper at the scene “stood up and saved” Rushdie’s life, according to a Fox News report.

Rabbi Charles Savenor was among the roughly 2,500 people in the audience, according to an Associated Press report. The report noted spectators were ushered out of the outdoor amphitheater.

The assailant got on the platform with the author “and started pounding on Mr. Rushdie,” Mr. Savenor said. “At first you’re like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then it became abundantly clear in a few seconds that he was being beaten.” The rabbi informed the AP reporter that the attack lasted about 20 seconds.

Another spectator, Kathleen Jones, described the attacker as being dressed in black and wearing a black mask.

“We thought perhaps it was part of a stunt to show that there’s still a lot of controversy around this author,” Ms. Jones said. She added it became evident in a few seconds that it was not.

Rushdie was quickly surrounded by a small group of people who held up his legs, according to the report, presumably to deliver more blood to his chest.

Armed suspect at FBI Cincinnati office launches Ohio police chase, shots fired during standoff

A potential threat at an FBI field office in Ohio sent police on a chase after an unknown suspect who remains at large Thursday morning, according to a source and local reports.

A law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News an incident happened at the FBI Cincinnati Field Office involving an armed suspect who fled the scene.

Unconfirmed information shared internally among agents suggested the suspect possibly brandished a nail gun and an AR-15 style rifle, the source said.

Law enforcement pursued chase, and the suspect traveled about 60 miles northwest before the pursuit ended at I-71 and Hwy 73. Multiple shots were fired during a standoff, according to the source.

Law enforcement teams are getting into position for an interaction, and roads are being closed in the area. It’s unclear whether anyone is injured, and the rationale behind the attack remains unknown.

Fox News Digital reached out to FBI Cincinnati and Ohio State Highway Patrol for more information. An FBI spokeswoman said by phone they did not immediately have any comment.

In an email to Fox News Digital, Ohio State Highway Patrol later confirmed it "is currently investigating and active incident near Interstate 71 and state Route 73 in Clinton County."

At approximately 9 a.m., an armed subject attempted to breach the Visitor Screening Facility at FBI Cincinnati, according to tweet from FBI Cincinnati's account.

Houston Democrats Hosted a Gun Buyback Event and One Clever Man Took Full Advantage

Over the weekend, Houston's Democrat Mayor Sylvester Turner held a gun buyback event in a church parking lot where residents could turn in their firearms and receive a gift card ranging from $50 to $200 with no questions asked. According to the Mayor's announcement, the funds provided to those turning in firearms came from the American Rescue Plan — aka American taxpayers — and the amount-per-firearm was $50.00 for a non-functioning firearm, $100.00 for a rifle or shotgun, $150.00 for a handgun, and $200.00 for a fully automatic rifle.

Heralded as a success by the mayor and hyped up by the liberal Houston Chronicle, the event on Saturday saw 845 guns bought back and some $100,000 in gift card payments given. But the alleged success isn't exactly what it seems.

The FAQ section for the buyback noted that there's no limit on the number of firearms that could be turned in by an individual, nor was there any restriction on the types of handguns, as long as they're functioning. Enter some creative and apparently entrepreneurial individuals who saw an opening and decided to make some extra cash.

Photos and videos from the event show authorities unloading boxes of... fresh 3D-printed firearms.

One man showed up to the buyback with dozens of 3D-printed firearms, and Houston authorities had no choice but to accept them and hand over gift cards in return. The real kicker: it only cost the man $3 to print each firearm, of which he made 62, and received $50 per 3D-printed gun for a total of nearly $3,000 in gift cards.

FOX 26 caught up with the man, who remained anonymous, and asked him why he 3D-printed a bunch of firearms to sell back to Houston authorities. "The goal was not personal profit, but to send [Houston leaders] a message about spending $1 million tax dollars on something that has no evidence of any effect on crime," he said.

Still, Houston's mayor thinks his buyback program will convince criminals and gang members to hand over their firearms for as little as $50.

Joey's "Alive Day"

Retired Staff Sgt. Johnny "Joey" Jones recounts the harrowing day in which he lost both of his legs in an unexpected IED explosion in Afghanistan. Join Jones as he reflects on his time as a United States Marine EOD technician and experience the infectious positivity that has been capturing the hearts of so many who hear his story.

Twelve years ago this week I was lying on a foreign battlefield in the rural Helmand Province of Afghanistan.

Just moments before I had rendered safe or disarmed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) or “homemade bomb” and was talking to the Marine providing security for me, Cpl. Daniel Greer.

In the blink of an eye, my life, Daniel’s life and the lives of those we love changed forever.

As I put my helmet and ballistic glasses back on to move towards my patrol, I took a step with my right foot away from a short wall I was leaning against.

My foot landed on a buried IED, activating it and sending me cartwheeling through the air, conscious and without legs.

I landed on my back.

As the dust settled I could tell my legs were gone, just past them, I could see Cpl. Greer lying on his stomach, motionless.

I reach up to my left shoulder for a tourniquet with my right hand but my forearm was severed and my hand lay limp in my lap.

My left arm was under me and I could feel it.

As my body went into shock I realized my efforts should be directed at helping the Marines coming to retrieve us.

The rest of that day is blurry at best. -- I’ve been told some details but that’s all the memories I have.

That day, August 6th, 2010, isn’t the day I lost my legs, it’s the day I lived. It's my “Alive Day.”

Now looking back a full decade since that day I have to acknowledge some hard truths.

First, Cpl. Greer didn’t survive that bomb.

I might’ve done something different and he’d still be here but war is ruthless, indiscriminate and final. There are no second chances, looking backs or better next times.

It's just life and death and what’s left.

Secondly, I’ll never have legs again. I’ll always feel the indescribable pain of nerves pulsing trying to find a piece of me that’s no long there.

The throbbing aching of skin and bone grinding against my prosthetics and the unrelenting frustration of needing a helping hand for the most basic of tasks.

Lastly, the pain and emotional toll that day took on my fellow Marines, our families and friends is a difficult burden to bear.

Yet, these truths, as painful and negative as they are, aren’t without positive outcomes and blessing.

Yes, Cpl. Greer died that day but now I owe it to him to live a full and good life. To pay his sacrifice forward and see his legacy fulfilled.

His widow is now my dear friend. His son is a sprouting young man who is the same age as mine.

Graham Martin is in the Hospital

Who the hell is GRAHAM?
Well Graham is the geezer who got home late one night and Helen his wife, says. "Where the hell have you been?"
Graham replies. "I was getting a tattoo!"
"A tattoo?" She frowned. "What kind of tattoo did you get?"
"I got a hundred dollar note on my privates." He said proudly.
"What the hell were you thinking?" She said, shaking her head in disgust. "Why on earth would a Chartered Accountant get a hundred dollar note tattooed on his privates?"
"Well, one, I like to watch my money grow.
Two, once in a while I like to play with my money.
Three, I like how money feels in my hand.
And, lastly, instead of you going out shopping, you can stay right here at home and blow a hundred dollars anytime you want."
Graham is now in The Critical Care Unit, Room 233. No visitors until further notice...............
