It's done. Now that Meghan is a princess, and duchess of the royal family she has a huge responsibility and I am happy that Harry appreciates independent, career women. I wonder, did she ever dream of herself walking down the aisle? If so, her dreams could never have been as grand as the event turned out. More than just a fairytale wedding, it turned into a real Cinderella story complete with envious step siblings to boot. wine

Meghan is not only a beacon of light for women's rights, because she is a mixed race the standards of many more people, especially children, around the world will greatly improve when they realise that anything is possible, and the potential is there, if you put your mind to it. She is such an inspiration, for just being the woman that she is, and a woman who values herself as worthy of the job of duchess. I am very happy and wish them the very best for the rest of their days. hug

Does Baking Soda help Autoimmune Diseases?

Offended by copy&paste? Byebye. This may help BC with her itching and 121 with MS. peace Baking soda increases T cells, clears inflammation and the spleen, and much more, and obviously not overnight.

Tests are still being performed, but early results are promising: baking soda appears to do a pretty good job fighting autoimmune disease.

A study in the forthcoming issue of the Journal of Immunology reports that macrophage polarisation in the spleens of human and rodent test subjects shifted from inflammatory to regulatory when the subjects had a small amount (in humans relative to a U.S. teaspoon, in the rats a rat-sized equivalency) of baking soda per day.

Furthermore, the study reports that "FOXP3+CD4+ T-lymphocytes increased in the spleen, blood, and kidneys of rats." Which is a very, very fancy way of saying that baking soda increased T cells counts in the rodents. Which is pretty cool.

This section of the published study gives you a general idea of what the baking soda actually does inside of you:

Thin collagenous connections lined by mesothelial cells were found to connect to the capsular mesothelium. Mesothelial cells in these connections stained positive for the pan-neuronal marker PGP9.5 and acetylcholine esterase and contained many ultrastructural elements, which visually resembled neuronal structures. ... Our data indicate that o*al NaHCO3 activates a splenic anti-inflammatory pathway and provides evidence that the signals that mediate this response are transmitted to the spleen via a novel neuronal-like function of mesothelial cells.

It might not be a great idea to chug a whole box of baking soda, but a small daily dose could do wonders for keeping your autoimmune system in check. Between that and a healthy diet of nuts, vegetables, and fish... you could have the spleen of a person half your age! Which is a good pick-up line if you find yourself at a party with a hematologist (which is a spleen doctor, in case you're wondering).

And besides, you probably have a carton of the stuff laying around somewhere. It's practically mandatory whenever you move into an apartment in a city as it helps keep odors out. So if you want to prevent autoimmune diseases and not have a stinky salad, get yourself a box.

S*xual Addiction, real or just an excuse?

Usually it's the celebrities who use s*xual addiction to excuse their compulsive disorder, but have you noticed, only when they get caught. Before that the problem didn't exist. laugh Some even have the nerve to blame their religion on this disorder.

Experts also say that pornography starts the s*xual addiction. So why watch porn then? People who watch pornography view humans, old and young, as objects nothing more and nothing less. That's where the problem begins, deal with the way people view other people and voila, the problem is solved immediately. Personally I have no clue how that is done because I've never treated anyone as an object.

Other issues too are STDs, not only on the rampant addict, but what he/she spreads to their partner who obviously remains in the dark to this OCD. When partners discover the affairs and deceit, they naturally feel anger at the betrayal of trust. Is it worth it? I can't recall his name but one celeb got AIDS from his s*xual addiction. And o*al sex with strangers caused Michael Douglas' throat cancer. Given the chance I'd like to ask them if it was worth it?

Clumsy English

I've usually described the way I write and speak as clumsy english, but it's more than that, I also use simple english. Over time it's become clear that people who are eloquent or articulate often can't understand the way I write.

We are where we're all supposed to be. No coincidence in that.

School was a joke. From 9-13 years old I attended 10 schools, dragged over three countries, which included a school where the students and teachers spoke a different language. My mind was made up, school was a joke. However the last school was the best, it was there where I learned the most about students in general because it was a boarding school and we were secretive teens.

Along the way I came across Lao Tzu's work in the Tao te Ching.

Lao Tzu teaches by using simple english, I understand his 82 verses, many educated people don't. His greatest message is to 'empty your mind', so that is possibly why I don't retain a huge vocabulary, or is that just an excuse for laziness? Can you stop your mind from thinking for just 5 minutes?

After leaving school, which I got through just by the skin of my teeth, I began reading books, but not the type of books that teachers would recommend. Today I love meeting teachers and these days I learn from them, so I thank their presence.

The Question of Trust

Are you distrustful or do you throw caution to the wind and trust the people you meet, and what they tell you, in general? giggle

I've been a trusting soul and I've been burned for taking a risk but what the hell, what are we here for? Sometimes I didn't trust my intuition and it was costly. In love I've been lucky for the most part.

When I was younger my bosses trusted me to make the right decisions for their company, I was flattered but also knew that they wouldn't do anything unless they wanted to either. Most of my life I worked for smart Jewish bosses and they taught me everything that I know, and of course they were older than me. I learned to use my chutzpah. I worked hard, brought in the butter, and they gave me lots of freedom.

So now I'm thinking it's my turn to step back and allow my partner, who is half my age to make most of the decisions. Not only does he know more about the high tech world than I do, but he has the energy to research in the right directions. Would you allow someone to take the reins of your idea, that you've worked on for 10 years, and trust them to make the decisions on your behalf?

Less is More

It's a lifestyle which one consciously chooses, or not. love

After working it out, the only way I could retire early was to get rid of the car. It is very costly to run a vehicle in this country. The first thing I noticed is how you are judged if you don't own a car. Well, while everyone pays the bank, insurance, fuel, maintenance, I travelled and learned a lot more on every trip. People always ask how I get around, on mentioning the taxis everyone automatically assumes it is too pricey to consider, even after informing them that cab fare is less than the insurance they pay to keep their wheels on the road.

No matter, whatever floats their boat.

Less is more works in many other areas as well. Most common are the possessions you own, less is definitely more. Beware that your possessions don't own you. Less thought, more peace of mind. Less food, more comfort. Less noise, more silence. Less difficulty, more simplicity. Less hate, more love. Less clutter, more space. Less work, more play. Less spending, more saving. Less frowns, more smiles. Less is just more in my book.

We make our own rules.

The Mind is Maya

Ignorance is the belief that mankind has all the answers with regards to science, physics, and religion, to the point where falsehood replaces the real truth which the masses follow indiscriminately without being aware, or taking the time to question their own beliefs. Much more lies behind the veil of our existence and it's better for us to admit that we just don't know. We seem to forget that man discovered the internet and DNA a short while ago (in relation to the big picture), yet both were always there in plain sight, eluding our primitive minds. It is still noted, with great eccentricity, that each new discovery is met with a 'now-we-do-know-it-all' attitude. Confusion reigns supreme when the mind is maya in its egotistical struggles. Parents don't know any better when teaching the youth either.

Without going into the story and history behind the maya concept, this blog only concentrates on what we can learn from it. When we enter the great hall (world) of illusion and delusion there will be consequences to pay over many lifetimes. All sin begins with envy, and if anyone is insulting enough to laugh at those who are envious, it brings forth grave anger, revenge and ultimate destruction to all in the vicinity, as we see with the States targeting ALL Muslims, yet they would have us forget that the US created ISIS when they interfered in the Middle East over oil reserves. Then the blatant envy towards China's growth is met with human rights concerns, but it means nothing in the face of Syrian and Philippines human rights. Moreso if you watch the meanness subjects show towards each other's political party in the US, which the whole world finds extremely funny under Trump leadership, these are prime examples of the minds that live in maya. Envy is sinful. It's no wonder Trump's hypocrites are the laughing stock of the world.

When the mind is maya it is weak but at the same time it can bring great destruction and misery to the world at large and ourselves. The consequences of people's actions as the result of thoughts and desires leads man's mind astray in unmindful selfishness, egoism, and bondage from birth to death. Hence, the mind is maya as it lives in sorrow and pain by perceived lack, instead of gratitude for its many blessings. Therefore the bulk of society will not receive the gifts they desperately need to break free. When asked why my life is so blessed, my reply is I'm on a totally different wavelength now because I've been willing to learn from cause and effect. Simple as that. Today I watch my ego closely.


The Mind of Maya — and consequences thereof:

1. Out of desire comes attachment, out of attachment mankind becomes deluded by ego.

2. Ignorance is bound to the material, temptation, and mortal existence.

3. Man's envy develops into pride, fear, greed, malice, caprice, lust, cruelty and callousness.

4. A sense of duality and multiplicity leads man to feel isolated. He's unable to trust because he lives in anxiety.

5. Those of demonic nature use cruelty, death and destruction to establish control and supremacy over others.

6. Ego and false identification engage in acts of self preservation, competition and conflict with friends and foe alike.

7. Inability to connect to a higher source of consciousness while knowing our limits. Too self-serving to see the Light.

8. The process of bad Karma goes on repeatedly until it realises its folly to choose right actions and attitudes instead.

9. The soul can escape the net of illusion and delusion by overcoming its limitations to control its senses and desires.

10. Knowing real truth lies behind a veil which won't be revealed till mankind learns compassion, tolerance and love


In maya we are alienated from our true nature, we should learn to tame that beast which is entangled in desires and illusion

The Value of Rejection

Like it or not, we will all face rejection at one time or another. To fear rejection means you simply stagnate. Fear holds us back. Rejection makes us stronger, not weaker, and those who reject us move on with their lives anyhow, with no more thought about us, so we should and can do the same. Also it's worse to appease someone just because you don't want to hurt their feelings, hopes, and dreams by rejecting them. Do that, and the crocodile will turn around to bite you back. Besides to my understanding most people prefer rejection to pity.

Rejection can bash our ego badly especially as it is so personal, at other times it makes us question ourselves and it's okay to dwell for a short time because the rejection might carry a teaching of some kind. However after all due consideration it's wise to think of, or do, something pleasant like taking a long walk which gives us a great opportunity to hug a tree that is often taken for granted, which is much worse than rejection.

It's true, after hugging a tree you feel stimulated by its tingly energy which creeps up your spine and right through your veins. Don't believe me, just try. Trees love us. After all without trees we would die a miserable death short of the oxygen they provide, and they appreciate a hug once in awhile, just as we do in our daily lives. People in traffic laugh if they catch sight of me hugging a tree during my daily walks but it's no bother, I continue because the trees' energy is so swell, S W E L L, it's to die for. These are just some of the little things that really count if your minds eye can see the value.

Go forth and hug a tree to feel its life force and to maintain balance.

Scientists Say Don't Make Your Bed

Research from Kingston University has shown that making your bed in the morning traps in dust mites that have accumulated overnight and provides a breeding ground for allergens that can exacerbate asthma and allergies.

What To Know About Dust Mites

These microscopic bugs feed on scales of human skin, and they thrive in moist environments. When we sleep during the night, our bodies become warm and sweaty, making us a prime target for these dust mites to feed on our skin (and leave behind excretions that can give us asthma-like symptoms).



Making your bed first thing in the morning traps in this moisture, allowing your bed to be a home for up to 1.5 million dust mites. If you leave your bed messy, however, the mites are exposed to air and sunlight, which causes them to become dehydrated and die out.

Because mites can produce allergens that are problematic for people with asthma or allergies, it’s important to minimize the number of mites milling around in your bed.

To search for a solution to the problem, scientists at the university developed a computer model to track the number of dust mites in the home, and they found that leaving your bed unkempt throughout the day is the best solution to reduce the number of dust mites. Letting your bed air out to remove any moisture inhibits mite survival, so you no longer have to feel guilty about heading out the door in a rush with your sheets in a tangle.

If you’re someone who can’t stand a messy bed, at least consider leaving your bed unmade in the morning for a few hours, and putting it together later in the afternoon.

Combatting Dust Allergies

The American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology recommends the following to help combat dust allergies at home:

* Remove wall-to-wall carpets, particularly in the bedroom.
* Keep pets out of the bedroom, and preferably out of the house.
* Minimize household humidity.
* Use “mite-proof” cases on mattresses and pillows; wash bed linens frequently in hot water.
* Install a high-efficiency media filter in your furnace and air conditioning unit.
* Keeping your house cool and dry can also help reduce dust mites, as they thrive best in a warm and humid environment.

Other Benefits Of Keeping Your House Cool

Besides combatting mites, keeping your home cool (between 60-67 degrees seems to be the ideal) while you sleep has been shown to provide a number of other health benefits, including:

1. Decreasing Your Risk For Metabolic Diseases
In a 4-month study, it was determined that sleeping in a 66-degree room not only burned more calories while awake, but the amount of “brown fat” (or good fat) in the body increased. Brown fat allows your body to burn calories, not store them. Together, this could help lower the risk for metabolic diseases like diabetes over time.

2. Getting A Better Night’s Sleep
When your body isn’t too busy trying to regulate its temperature, you’ll fall into a deeper, more restorative sleep. Research in Australia has also proven that sleeping in cooler environments can help decrease certain types of insomnia. And, as we know, getting enough sleep is so important to our overall health.

3. Looking More Youthful
It’s been shown that sleeping in temperatures between 60-68 degrees will allow your body to release more melatonin, which is not only essential to a good night’s sleep, it’s one of our best anti-aging hormones.

1. Freeze your top sheet and put it on right before bedtime.
