Obama's Ties to Communists

President Obama's Radical Network Exposed

Wednesday, May 05, 2010

FOX News

This is a rush transcript from "Hannity," May 4, 2010. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated.

SEAN HANNITY, HOST: Ever since Barack Obama arrived on the national political stage, this program has shined the spotlight on his connections to controversial figures like Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers. And now a new book delves deeper into the president's radical associations.

It's called "The Manchurian President: Barack Obama's Ties to Communists, Socialists and Other Anti-American Extremists."

The author, Aaron Klein, has a radio show and often writes for World Net Daily. He joins us now.

Aaron, good to see you. Thanks for being here.

AARON KLEIN, AUTHOR, "THE MANCHURIAN PRESIDENT": Thanks so much for having me.

HANNITY: Alright. Even the title, it's going to make liberals' head explode. And what we just — explain what you mean, Manchurian candidate and the title of the book?

KLEIN: I know it's a very sensational title. The book, though, is extremely well documented. We're talking about almost 900 footnotes.

And by Manchurian what we mean, we don't believe, me and my co-author, Brenda J. Elliott, we don't that Obama is a sleeper agent for communism, which is what the original book was about.

But we document thoroughly — it's not our opinion, it's fact — that Obama is tied to an anti-American fringe nexus that was instrumental in building his political career from the beginning, all the way through now with the White House.

We expose extremists currently in the White House. And also outside helping to draft different legislation that's affecting everyday American lives.

HANNITY: I've chronicled the appointment of these "czars," Kevin Jennings and Van Jones and Holdren and Anita Dunn. I mean, one person after another; I mean, the list goes on and on. Very extreme. Most Americans don't understand this. And I've chronicled it.

Go back to the Ayers connection, for example. I always thought "just a guy in the neighborhood" was total baloney. And yet he got away with that throughout the entire campaign.

KLEIN: He did. And actually, Ayers is key. We can go back to the beginning to Obama's childhood when we found out we — it's actually exclusive to the book — that he we went to a certain Sunday school that was affiliated with the ideology of Bill Ayers. It was in Hawaii, where deserters from the Students for a Democratic Society from Bill Ayers' organization used to hole up in this church. But OK, so you can't hold him responsible for that.

And then we find out where he first met Bill Ayers, which was in 1988.

HANNITY: Right.

KLEIN: Actually. And very interestingly, in Obama's book, in "Dreams From My Father," he talks about his first job at what's called the ABC Coalition. And he says that he was hired by a guy named Marty Kaufman. Well, Kaufman doesn't exist. It's Kellman (ph), a Marxist Alinsky-ite. And so the thing with Ayers is that it's just the beginning of a radical nexus.

Obama Being Treated for Severe Depression

Apparently, this blogger, Ulsterman from Washington, interviewed a former White House Insider who left the White House recently. The interview was conducted under conditions of anonymity. You can read the transcript by clicking on the link. Apparently, this insider has made previous predictions of staff leaving the White House, due to dissatisfaction with Obama, and he has been accurate.

This former aide described that the President was diagnosed with severe depression and is being treated with medications. He also stated that his smoking habit is really out of control as well and is smoking more than a pack a day. The Insider also went on to detail that the President is not really interested in being President and is bored with the details of being an Executive; rather he seems to be mostly energized by his frequent campaigning. The Insider stated that frequently Mr. Obama leaves these boring meetings, and asks only for a summation. In another revelation about Obama, the insider said that he doesn't seem to have much "intellectual curiosity", but he is excited about sports. When he's off the teleprompter, he's a little slow. The insider said that many of the staff just don't get along and the First Couple have their own "issues." Remember in August when Michelle went to Spain, leaving Barry to celebrate his birthday with the boys? The insider testified that he/she had seen Obama having a temper tantrum.

Now, I am not a psychiatrist, but I do know that frequently a person with a bipolar condition is misdiagnosed as severely depressed. In fact, it seems to be one of the traits of many "charismatic" personalities. Obviously, many consider Mr. Obama to be charismatic. Unfortunately, the medication for severe depression is known to severely exacerbate the bipolar condition, known as its "paradoxical effect."

If these reports are true, and not that I want to stigmatize a person with a psychiatric disorder, but I believe, in this case, our National Security may be in severe jeopardy.

Is Obama Dishonest, Naive or Both When He Talks Ab

The longer President Obama refuses to acknowledge the direction of our nation's economy the greater the impact will be when the looming depression that awaits is named in his honor.

For a leader who has had the advantages of an Ivy League education, our president seems to be an exceedingly poor student of history. But in 120 days no one will be able to dispute that the economic mess the United States finds herself in belongs to anyone except the man in the White House.

The basis of this reality is rooted in two truths that became quite pronounced last week. The first is that President Obama is ignoring the very real direction the nation is headed. The second is that he is purposefully ignoring the impact his looming historic tax increases will have. Both are contributing to the pessimism that overarches the morale and tone of the entrepreneurial framework of the future.

Last week President Obama spoke to the White House press corps -- and by extension the nation -- to claim that the nation saw job growth of 67,000 jobs in August. Even if this number was real it would be a pitifully tiny percent of the 14,885,000 who are both on unemployment (1 in 10 Americans) as well as those 23,768,000 who are underemployed (working but not earning enough for basic needs -- 1 in 5 families).

The bigger problem for the president, however, is that the number isn't real. The fact is the nation saw 114,000 people added to the unemployment lines in August and the net jobs lost for the month sat at 54,000.

In all the "summer of recovery" -- as declared by both President Obama and Vice President Biden -- saw 238,000 more jobs disappear. Telling the nation that his plans have taken the economy in the right direction, and implying that the nation is seeing a recovery in the area of employment is either willfully dishonest, or painfully, even treacherously naive. At the rate of this "recovery" another 317,333 workers could be sitting on the sidelines before the end of the year.

Additionally we are now on track to see the single largest collection of tax increases ever proposed take the Obama economy even further into the tank.

In less than 120 days President Obama's plan to add a collective 18.6% to the federal tax burden will continue the economic downward spiral into record breaking Depression-era territory. -- And remember this is all from the man, who said repeatedly --on the campaign trail -- that he should be elected expressly to prevent the nation's economy from falling into complete deterioration.

Instead, the unemployment that was growing in the transition period from Bush's reign to Obama's reign has exploded to double what it was under Bush. Even worse this means that while 14,885,000 Americans are claiming unemployment assistance, some 23,768,000 families are presently struggling to hold on through work that they have but are unable to meet their basic needs.

Number of People in Poverty Rises

Number of People in Poverty Rises to Record Level in 2009

The number of people in poverty rose to the highest level on record in 2009, the Census Bureau reported Thursday, pegging the U.S. poverty rate at 14.3 percent.

Published September 16, 2010
| FoxNews.com

The national rate is the highest since 1994 and among the working-age poor the highest level since the 1960s. The Census Bureau says that about 43.6 million people, or 1 in 7, were in poverty last year. That's up from 39.8 million, or 13.2 percent, in 2008, and the largest number since poverty estimates were first recorded in 1959 -- the U.S. population has also grown by more than 130 million in that time.

The statistics released Thursday cover President Obama's first year in office, when unemployment topped 10 percent in the months after the financial meltdown. The report comes at a sensitive time with the midterm congressional elections just weeks away and lawmakers trying to show their efforts have helped drag the economy out of a rut.

While the poverty rate was the highest since 1994, it was lower than estimates of many demographers who were bracing for a record gain based on last year's skyrocketing unemployment. Many had predicted a range of 14.7 percent to 15 percent. Analysts credited increases in government pension plans and extensions in unemployment benefits.

"Given all the unemployment we saw, it's the government safety net that's keeping people above the poverty line," said Douglas Besharov, a University of Maryland public policy professor and former scholar at the conservative American Enterprise Institute.

The number of people lacking health insurance also rose from 46.3 million to 50.7 million, due mostly to the loss of employer-provided health insurance during the recession. Congress passed a health overhaul earlier this year to extend coverage to more people.

The median -- or midpoint -- household income
was $49,777, similar to the 2008 figure.

Other census findings:

--Among the working-age population, ages 18 to 65, poverty rose from 11.7 percent to 12.9 percent. That puts it at the highest since the 1960s, when the government launched a war on poverty that expanded the federal role in social welfare programs from education to health care.

--Poverty rose among all race and ethnic groups, but stood at higher levels for blacks and Hispanics. The number of Hispanics in poverty increased from 23.2 percent to 25.3 percent; for blacks it increased from 24.7 percent to 25.8 percent. The number of whites in poverty rose from 8.6 percent to 9.4 percent.

--Child poverty rose from 19 percent to 20.7 percent.

In 2009, the poverty level stood at $21,954 for a family of four, based on an official government calculation that includes only cash income before tax deductions. It excludes capital gains or accumulated wealth, such as home ownership.

As a result, the official poverty rate takes into account the effects of some stimulus programs in 2009, such as unemployment benefits as well as jobs that were created or saved by government spending. But it does not factor in noncash government aid such as tax credits and food stamps, which have surged to record levels in recent months. Experts say such noncash aid tends to have a larger effect on lowering child poverty.

Beginning next year, the government plans to publish new, supplemental poverty figures that are expected to show even higher numbers of people in poverty than previously known. The figures will incorporate rising costs of medical care, transportation and child care, a change analysts believe will add to the ranks of both seniors and working-age people in poverty.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Nearly Half the Nation Recieves Gov't Benefits

Efforts to tame America's ballooning budget deficit could soon confront a daunting reality: Nearly half of all Americans live in a household in which someone receives government benefits, more than at any time in history.

At the same time, the fraction of American households not paying federal income taxes has also grown—to an estimated 45% in 2010, from 39% five years ago, according to the Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan research organization.

A little more than half don't earn enough to be taxed; the rest take so many credits and deductions they don't owe anything. Most still get hit with Medicare and Social Security payroll taxes, but 13% of all U.S. households pay neither federal income nor payroll taxes.

"We have a very large share of the American population that is getting checks from the government," says Keith Hennessey, an economic adviser to President George W. Bush and now a fellow at the conservative Hoover Institution, "and an increasingly smaller portion of the population that's paying for it."

The dimensions of the budget hole were underscored Monday, when the Treasury reported that the government ran a $1.26 trillion deficit for the first 11 months of the fiscal year, on pace to be the second-biggest on record.

I Think I See What Glenn Beck is Doing (Updated)

The Glenn Beck rally is confusing people.

Why?

He is aiming far beyond what most people consider to be the goalposts.

Using Boyd’s continuum for war: Material, Intellectual, Moral.

Analogously for political change: Elections, Institutions, Culture.

Beck sees correctly that the Conservative movement had only limited success because it was good at level 1, for a while, weak on level 2, and barely touched level 3. Talk Radio and the Tea Party are level 3 phenomena, popular outbreaks, which are blowing back into politics.

Someone who asks what the rally has to do with the 2010 election is missing the point.

Beck is building solidarity and cultural confidence in America, its Constitution, its military heritage, its freedom. This is a vision that is despised by the people who have long held the commanding heights of the culture. But is obviously alive and kicking.

Beck is creating positive themes of unity and patriotism and freedom and independence which are above mere political or policy choices, but not irrelevant to them. Political and policy choices rest on a foundation of philosophy, culture, self-image, ideals, religion. Change the foundation, and the rest will flow from that. Defeat the enemy on that plane, and any merely tactical defeat will always be reversible.

Beck is unabashed that God can be invoked in public places by citizens, who vote and assemble and speak and freely exercise their religion. They are supposed to be too browbeaten to do this. Gathering hundreds of thousands of them to peaceably assemble shows they are not. But showing that the people who believe in God and practice their religion are fellow-citizens who share political and economic values with majorities of Americans is a critical step. The idea that these people are an American Taliban is laughable, but showing that fact to the world — and to potential political allies who are not religious — is critical.

Beck is attacking the enemy at the foundations of their power, their claim to race as a permanent trump card, their claim to the Civil Rights movement as a permanent model to constantly be transforming a perpetually unjust society.

He is nuking out the foundations of the opposition’s moral preeminence, the very thing I proposed in this post.

Ronald Reagan said we would not defeat Communism, we would transcend it.

Beck is aiming to have America do the same thing to its decaying class of Overlords, transcend them.

Beck is prepping the battlefield for a generation-long battle.

He is that very American thing: A practical visionary.

See, simple.

Restore pride and confidence to your own side, and win the long game.

As Ronald Reagan also said, there are simple solutions, just no easy solutions.

God bless America.

UPDATE II: Whoa. Mr Beck himself linked to this post, and tweeted: “The ONLY guy to actually get it!”

So, the accuracy of my penetrating analysis is confirmed.

Is the Internet the most groovy thing ever, or what?

He also mentioned his new news site The Blaze, which I am now going to look at … .

2,200 Americans a year are murdered by illegal ali

Arizona has passed nearly identical legislation to U.S. Code 1306

Illegal Arizona Immigrants refer to U.S. Code 1306

“Any alien who fails or refuses to be fingerprinted or register…shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and fined $1000.00 dollars or imprisoned for six months…”

An estimated average of 170,000 Mexicans are legally allowed into the U.S. every year.

According to Ed Kowaliski, board member of 9/11 Families for a Secure America whose niece was killed by an illegal immigrant in 2005, the issue is about safety and stems back to 9/11. Had many of the attackers not received visas in such an easy manner, 9/11 may have never happened. Those individuals were in the country illegally, they hid in plain sight, and 8 of them were registered to vote.

A staggering, 2,200 Americans a year are murdered by criminal illegal aliens.

“When the citizens and the governor of AZ stand up for the rule of law, and our President calls that action misguided, he’s misguided! When Al Sharpton is in Phoenix this week calling for the repeal of that law he’s misguided! When our President in effect states that illegal’s’ in AZ are not going to be able to take their children to get an ice cream cone for fear of being deported, perhaps he doesn’t understand and doesn’t remember that 3 years ago in the state of Colorado a 3 year old American child was murdered by an illegal alien in an ice cream parlor.”

This is a national security issue!

NEW YORK – President Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court, Elena Kagan, argued certain forms of speech that promote "racial or gender inequality" could be "disappeared."

In her few academic papers, Kagan evidences strong beliefs for court intervention in speech, going so far as to posit First Amendment speech should be weighed against "societal costs.”
In her 1993 article "Regulation of Hate Speech and Pornography After R.A.V," for the University of Chicago Law Review, Kagan writes:

"I take it as a given that we live in a society marred by racial and gender inequality, that certain forms of speech perpetuate and promote this inequality, and that the uncoerced

disappearance of such speech would be cause for great elation."
In a 1996 paper, "Private Speech, Public Purpose: The Role of Governmental Motive in First Amendment Doctrine," Kagan argued it may be proper to suppress speech because it is offensive to society or to the government.

That paper asserted First Amendment doctrine is comprised of "motives and … actions infested with them" and she goes so far as to claim that "First Amendment law is best understood and most readily explained as a kind of motive-hunting."

Political Punch Health Bill will Cost More

CBO: Health Care Bill Will Cost $115 Billion More Than Previously Assessed

ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper
May 12, 2010 9:08 AM

The director of the Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday that the health care reform legislation would cost, over the next ten years, $115 billion more than previously thought, bringing the total cost to more than $1 trillion.

The revised figure is due to estimated costs to federal agencies to implement the new health care reform bill – such as administrative expenses for the Internal Revenue Services and the Department of Health and Human Services -- and the costs for a "variety of grant and other program spending for which specified funding levels for one or more years are provided in the act."

CBO had originally estimated that the health care reform bill would result in a net reduction in federal deficits of $143 billion from 2010-2019; this revised number would eliminate most of that savings.

In a statement, House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said that the new CBO analysis "provides ample cause for alarm. This comes just weeks after the Obama administration itself released an analysis confirming that the new law actually increases Americans’ health care costs. The American people wanted one thing above all from health care reform: lower costs, which Washington Democrats promised, but they did not deliver. These revelations widen the serious credibility gap President Obama is facing."

Office of Management and Budget spokesman Kenneth Baer said in response that the health care law "will reduce the deficit by more than $100 billion in the first decade, and that will not change unless Congress acts to change it. If these authorizations are funded, they must be offset somewhere else in the discretionary budget. The President has called for a non-security discretionary spending freeze, and he will enforce that with his veto pen."

Baer also pointed a reporter to comments made by OMB director Peter Orszag on his blog in March in which the budget director says that Congress has the power to pay for the $115 billion costs with cuts elsewhere, or not act on those budget authorizations in the bill at all.

Attack on Speech and Artistic Expression

Teacher Deems American Flag ‘Offensive’

May 11, 2010

The battle over the American flag has reached a middle school art class in California’s Santa Rita School District where a student was told not to draw Old Glory because it was “offensive,” while another student was praised for drawing a picture of President Obama.

Tracy Hathaway, of Salinas, CA, told FOX News Radio her 13-year-old daughter was ordered to stop drawing the American flag and start another project at Gavilan View Middle School.
“She had drawn the flag and was sketching the letters, ‘God bless America,’ when the teacher confronted her,” Hathaway told FOX. “She said, ‘You can’t draw that – that’s offensive.’”

Even more striking, another student in the same art class drew a picture of President Obama and was praised by the teacher.
“The picture of Barack Obama was in red, white and blue hues,” Hathaway said. “ The teacher said it was great. But when it comes to the flag – all of a sudden it was offensive?”

Hathaway said she took her concerns to the principal – and he was “floored” and apologized for what happened. He arranged a meeting with the Hathaways and the teacher.

“My husband point-blank asked her what she found offensive about the picture – the American flag or the words, ‘God Bless America,’” she said. “The teacher didn’t say a word.”

Hathaway said she was especially concerned that a picture of President Obama was praised yet a picture of the American flag was deemed offensive.

“That showed where she stood in the political spectrum,” she said “But this was not a political class. This was not a religious class. This was an art class. “

“My daughter wasn’t trying to break any rules and she wasn’t trying to create a scene,” she said. “She was just expressing her view and saying this is America and I want God to bless it.”

Mike Brusa, the superintendent of schools, told FOX in a written statement that he had contacted the principal and that the issue “was taken care of to their (the parent’s) satisfaction.”

“The school administration and the parents did not view this as significant enough to bring it to the superintendent’s office,” he wrote.

However, Hathaway said her daughter has yet to receive an apology – and in fact – the teacher told the girl that she should not have gotten her parents involved in the matter.

“My daughter felt like her rights were being trampled on – she was doing what she thought was right.” she said. “It’s disturbing. It really is disturbing. When I was in junior high we didn’t have a lot of the problems they are having now. We were allowed to speak our mind. It’s absolutely devastating for me. Last time I looked, this is America. This is still a free country.”

Fannie & Freddie Un-regulated?

Special Report with Brett Bayer
Fox News
May 11, 2010

Some republicans raise a pointed question…why does a financial regulation bill ignore Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which were at the center of the housing crisis that led to the financial meltdown?

They’ve already soaked up 130 Billion dollars in bailout money from taxpayers and both will need more!

According to Judd Gregg of the Senate Banking committee, ( “It is estimated that the American taxpayer will end up picking up somewhere around 400 -500 Billion dollars in costs, as a result of the activities of Freddie and Fannie.”)

They played a key role in the housing market by buying mortgages from other lenders making more money available for new loans. But during the Clinton administration they were handed a new mission to expand home ownership to those who had been unable to but, which meant making loans to people with bad credit.

According to Peter Wallison of the American Enterprise Institute, (“Fannie and Freddie started making loans that had no down payments, and those loans are extremely weak.”)

Senator of Maine, Susan Collins stated, (“They also bought risky mortgage loans made by other lenders which allowed banks to offer more and more of them. That allowed Freddie and Fannie to amass these huge portfolios and mortgage backed securities that were made up of subprime mortgages…eventually that’s a house of cards, and it collapsed.”)

Republicans are demanding changes in their practices and would give them 2 years to clean up their finances and get off government subsidies or be liquidated.

However, the Senate voted down McCain’s proposal, but approved the Dodd Amendment ordering the treasury to study the issue and report back next January.

One other point:

There had been a cap on taxpayer liabilities of 400 Billion dollars, but last Christmas eve the treasury quietly lifted the limits, meaning taxpayer exposure to Fannie and Freddie is now unlimited.

Obama's Communist Ties 2

Obama mentor identified as communist
Frank Marshall Davis 'discussed American imperialism, colonialism, exploitation'

© 2010 WorldNetDaily

The mysterious "Frank" cited as a friend and adviser by Democratic president contender Barack Obama while he was growing up in Hawaii has been identified as Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the old Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA.

The identification comes from Cliff Kincaid in his column, "Obama's Communist Mentor," which was made available on the Accuracy in Media website.

"Let's challenge the liberal media to report on this," he wrote in his column. "Will they have the honesty and integrity to do so?"

Kincaid, who earlier reported on Obama's pending plan to ship $845 billion overseas to battle "global poverty" as evidence of his socialist leanings, said the newly revealed connection is even more worrisome.

Obama's communist connection adds to mounting public concern about a candidate who has come out of virtually nowhere, with a brief U.S. Senate legislative record, to become the Democratic Party frontrunner for the U.S. presidency," he wrote.

In Obama's book, "Dreams From My Father," he repeatedly refers to his friend and adviser as "Frank."

"The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several Communist front organizations," Kincaid said.

Kincaid noted Obama has admitted attending "social conferences" and seeing Marxist literature. "But he ridicules the charge of being a 'hard-core academic Marxist,' which was made by his colorful and outspoken 2004 U.S. Senate opponent, Republican Alan Keyes."

He described the link as "ominous."

"Decades ago, the CPUSA had tens of thousands of members, some of them covert agents who had penetrated the U.S. government. It received secret subsidies from the old Soviet Union," Kincaid wrote.

He noted even Obama describes "Frank" has having "some modest notoriety once."

Kincaid notes that a history professor in Houston reported that Davis "befriended" a family whose son was named Barack Obama, "who retracing the steps of Davis eventually decamped to Chicago."

"It was in Chicago that Obama became a 'community organizer' and came into contact with more far-left political forces, including the Democratic Socialists of America…," Kincaid wrote. "The SDS laid siege to college campuses across America in the 1960s, mostly in order to protest the Vietnam War, and spawned the terrorist Weather Underground organization."

He also reported Kathryn Takara, a professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, confirmed that Davis is the "Frank" in Obama's book.

She did her dissertation on Davis, and wrote that he brought, "an acute sense of race relations and class struggle throughout America and the world" and that he openly discussed subjects such as American imperialism, colonialism and exploitation, according to AIM.
