Guilt feelings about ageism.
Hello guys.Just want to share some thoughts about ageism, that keeps on coming back and forth in my mind since 4 days.
There's been an uproar lately with the launch of dating apps, that would popped up on our widow, so not bad to be relieved from curiousity, and communicating with people all over the world is beneficial too, just travelling around the world with less expenses.lol
Building a profile sounds like..I have to attract people on here. Here comes the age range..50 to 60 only, I don't need a father, as nobody could replace my father. Needs a caregiver? I could be, just hire me then. I did not realized I feed ageism, and only a step, I could be counted as member of the club.
men of 70's could beat those on 20's when it comes to stamina and women as well. So age range should be omitted to open the dating pool...
and don't we all want more choices???::peace:

I neither want a 70 year old nor a 20 year old. I have a dad and I don't want a son.
So it's not necessarily ageism against older people. It's just choosing who you'd be most compatible with.

It is just to sum up one's application for example.So it doesn't necessarilly be omitted.
If you are here to find and meet a partner, it seems logical that you would want to specify an age range for searching. As Molly said, we feel comfortable with a certain age.
However, it can be frustrating when you think you saw someone here that you are interested in enough to send an message to - only to find you have been blocked by their age preference! How frustrating if you are just a couple of years outside their range yet you know that you are ‘younger and fitter’ mentally and physically than most people 5 years younger..haha. Then I feel that I have been discriminated to by age.
So perhaps restrictions on sending messages ought to be lifted. The receiver doesn’t have to reply and has the choice to block you if you become a pest.

But could you see..mollybaby..ageism as an enduring problems on sites like where we are especially towards women, young ones are more sought by men, no matter how old the guys is...that is why many post old photos and lie about their age..frustrations arise who meet them.

At age 60, he wants 18 to 30...
Ouch! Women my age ...we're all invisible to men our own age..well have respect choices, they want a product of their own..lol
Well CS is mainly a dating site so u expect
the age preference...so its one's choice which
age would fit their taste

It's quite frustrating being blocked due to age preference, not have a single chance to prove..beating the 30's::
Well, nothing to do, to combat age discrimination especially on sites like here.
We all knew, it is rampant and illegal, but it is definitely out there.
Just that I have that guilt feelings..so I changed to age 99. So more choices.
Concerned about my fellow Filipino, I guess they are not that desperate to find a husband. They are aware of age descrimation, which is why I changed mine to 99 too..lol
So don't be sad..
Most of the Filipino have that "beauty with a heart" just what Miss World Pia said.
We really have that big and soft heart, especially in my place..so soft spoken..but take note..the " not all or in general",always applies.
But at the same time, not to degrade our being Filipina, just like age preference, have that education preference too, so to have that perfect and lasting relationship as couples. BUT, to have somebody to do things in the house, the what you said , no matter what, those are the desperate ones. They are out of the road too. But face the consequence.
Then again it's all about choices and preferences...
My point is, give chance not to let one feel being descrimated. After all everything starts at knowing each other, then be friend , and see the possibilities. Those who quickly say I love you, in just few messages. Guys, save time.
