Texas, casino free state

Wow all the money siphoned out of this great state.

No wonder they built the biggest casino in the US at the border between Oklahoma and Texas. Winstar, an hour drive from Dallas. Mostly players are yes, Texans. High rollers they are many.

I drove many a times in Houston and San Antonio but not in Dallas and golly, the roads are built for the future.

Anyways while I'm enjoying my stay I just noticed how everything is "big" here.

Bug storm coming up. That's not good. I planned on driving the roads today.
Good morning Lindsy, I "fell" out of bed it is only 5 o'clock in the morning here.
what is so special about the road that you say it is built for the future? wave Jenny
Goodmorning BCwave
Well Phyllis is just enjoying her road triphug

So what's the weather in Vancouver,BC

ysabeljhen, Good morning to you too, so nice to hear from you.
I have tried to email you but was blocked.
I live in BC, but not in Vancouver, even though I have lived there 15 years ago,
I now live inland in the Okanagan, about a 5 hour drive from Vancouver.
Wine country, fruit valley, it is surrounded by mountains and three very large lakes.
I call it our Tuscany, I bless the day we moved here............wave Jenny
ysabeljhen, you would not be sorry coming to visit your sister in Vancouver. Beautiful city for sure....
Lived in Port Moody, Richmond and White Rock, all suburbs of Vancouver, where I met my new husband 8 years ago.

Hi BC, hope all is going well with you and yours.bouquet

Hi LJ, you mean you could land a plane on those roads...laugh bouquet
Lol BC I did try also but I guess our settings should be adjustedhug
No worries I will try to set my settingsthumbs up

Hope I can visit soon.I love the maple leaves when it changed in color.hug
Jenny I've traveled mostly parts of the modern world and these roads are futuristic. I'll take a picture of them. On Southern Cali by 404, there's a road with multiple layers over other roads but these are like intertwined in many complex but easy navigable ways.

The way I look at it is that there's a great amount if land allotted for these structures and it's so awesome to look at. In comparison to California it's a very well planned and engineered roads with plenty of space being used.

While filling up fuel at Costco, this is high way 35 near Dallas airport.
No clogging or bottleneck. Even allow U TURN ON THE FREEWAY I've never seen anything like it.

There is nothing like it.
ysabeljhen, the changing of the colours is spectacular but you have to wait for the fall.
In the spring several streets are showing Cherry blossoms just gorgeous.
Unfortunately it rains a lot in Vancouver as you are in the rain forest there.
I can find anywhere in the world the nicest spots, mine is called; "Name that street"
Somehow I don't think that is the right word but try it and see....
At least you can find your sisters street in Vancouver
We will sort out the blockage okay? wave Jenny
showmystreet.com Yep, it can get you streets, cities anywhere you would like to have a look...............Enjoy wave Jenny
OK BCthumbs up thanks hug
Wow u deserve the best there is.After the hardworkapplause Don't u have any reunion during your MASTERS Degree?

Holidays usually month for reunions .cheers hug
As a matter of fact Luke, that's the purpose if needed. Highway 94 in mid west and 35 down to Texas. The island is huge. Airplane can land and take off on them.
I thought you meant a future when cars drive themselves - I get the impression you love driving and will hate a self-driven car, though laugh

Not joking, have you ever thought to getting a job moving rental cars all over the country? Apparently there is always a shortage of reliable drivers so it isn't badly paid, either. Travel and earn at the same time, can't be all bad -
Elke, you're so right. Those self driven cars are already used. Tesla logged in 1 million mile on a test. 4 accidents and it is hoped to be perfected when the public will buy them. No I don't think I'll be comfortable with them. No more diving options just computer and a lounge. Sleep while it drives you to where you want to go.

I will plan on getting a part time when I'm back from Asia in December.
Thank you for being here Elle.wave
I did see you'd said you wanted to start working again to fund your travels, that's what made me think of it

A friend's husband does it in the UK, including taking the occasional high-spec car across here to Europe, and although he crams in as many trips as he can (rather than enjoying the drive and taking a little extra time) he does earn a surprising amount of dosh.

I will definitely look into it Elle. Quite frankly Uber is in high demand specially with those who own high end cars like Mercedes, BMW SUV, I might consider that it like you said, driving for tourist on individual trips.

Are they on sub contract? Or how do they get the clients.
Nice pictures LJ. Truly looks like you are enjoying yourself.
Thanks Oldie, surfing for a good priced ticket flight to LA for Friday, LA is cheaper than SFO. Vegas is very cheap but short of time for the party in Modesto on Saturday.

Besides my plan is to fly from Vegas because it doesn't matter when I'll go back to Texas. Leaving the beamer to my relative's house.

SFO, Camille picks me up, LA Krystynn will or you.
If course I am. Taking a break from gambling. Lost quite a bit.
Oldie ever been to Dallas? Amazing how grand this state is. Am exploring the country side. Some places are like south of France.
In the 60's (while in the service) I hitchhiked through there. Got lost and ended up in Ok. Like the rest of the world big changes.
Oh God it's different now Oldie. I drove here in the early 80s and you wouldn't recognize it.
""Thanks Oldie, surfing for a good priced ticket flight to LA for Friday""

So it's Friday you will be here not the 18th?
Yes unless something comes up.
I live 45 miles north of Wichita Falls. When I go to San Antonio I always take highway 281 out of WF and that is a most scenic and beautiful stretch I can ever remember driving. It ends on San Pedro street in San Antonio. Try it when you get the time.
About 130 miles
About that Bill. US 35 is 75 miles and hour I'm safe at 85 miles so I can make it in 1 hour 30 minutes without getting a ticket. I hope. I got one in Wisconsin. Going to court on the 19th of October.
Elle sounds like hard work. I want a part time stream free job. The wineries in napa and Sonoma county has offered me a good gig. My niece is one of the directors of operations and told me at the end of the day, depending on how drunk the guests are, I heard tips are up in the high nines. I can do that two days or three days a week.
I'm not in a hurry to work. If things work as I'm hoping, just travel the whole mainland then maybe Africa. But business venture might be a possibility.
Not the crypto currency Elle. Too volatile for a poor like me. Good for the billionaires. Shields their taxes well. They buy a plane, yatch, hotel, etc. They will save big time.
Not me. Just a biddy little investment.
ohhh sorry Where was I ? was just on the neighbourhoodhug teddybear
Hi Lindsy :) wave I love long trips, too, safe travels to you hug
Specterwave Thanks for your wishes. I am glad you enjoy long trips. This is probably one of my longest non stop trips because I retired in April and a great portion of that has been just on the roads. Although flying had always been my most desired transportation to get to where I want to go, this time I am driving and it is far more expensive than flying and renting a vehicle. But I love it because I have no time schedule. I stay for as long as I want where I go and stop anywhere I desire to.

Thank you again.wine
From days and days of driving, I'm just spent up.

I'm going to stay in my room and blah blah my life away in the blog world.
Ay apo talaga kaya nga pati ako hay naku
