As per request, It's your move (2).
Yesterday, a few people had fun trying to solve a chess puzzle.One gentleman got it right. Kudos to Ger.... from Australia !
Another gentleman requested more of these puzzles.
So, here is the second one;
Will one of yesterday's players be the first to get it right again, or can someone else be the first to solve today's puzzle ?
Only time and your effort(s) will tell.
Here's today's chess board set-up. You play white and as the blog title suggests,
it's your move. What is your best first move and why ?
The pieces are symbolizes as follows;
K = King
Q = Queen
R = Rook
B = Bishop
N = Knight
P = Pawn
As always, from white's perspective the lower left corner is space a1
and the upper right corner space is h8.
The space to the right of a1 is b1, etc....
So for instance, if you first move is to move the white pawn in front of your king that move would be noted as; 1. P h3 - h4.
May the force be with you.

Anyway, Geriatrix, well done!
Jim - thanks again and your right "You snooze you lose." "Err" maybe next time you should ban Geriatic so as to give the rest of us mere mortals a chance. Lol.
perhaps try solving the puzzle without reading the comments.
