Pocahontas a real Indian - 1/1,024th. that is
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has declared herself vindicated for a decades-long claim to be Cherokee, thanks to a DNA test she ordered in response to taunts from President Donald Trump, in another signal that the former professor is gearing up for a 2020 presidential run.According to Warren’s own DNA test, she has, at best, 1/64th Native American ancestry, but it could also be as low as 1/1,024. Percentage-wise, she can claim somewhere between 0.1 percent to 1.56 percent Native lineage.
I must post Miclee's favorite video:

For Native American samples, we used samples … from Mexico, Peru and Colombia. It is not possible to use Native American reference sequences from inside the United States, since Native American groups within the US have chosen not to participate in recent population genetic studies.) --- Boston Globe
Congrats, Senator, you've proven you're distantly related to Carlos Slim
First they stated that she had no Native American roots. Now, when proven wrong, they attempt
to minimize her connection.
How ironic, that prejudice first tried to keep her parents apart while maximizing the connection
and now prejudice tries to minimize the connection.
In reality in neither case, is it appropriate.
Elizabeth Warren has dedicated a large part of her time & efforts to helping people.
When will people judge others by what they do, rather than their religion, ethnicity, or the amount of melanin
in their skin ?
It seems, as a species, not all may be as evolved, as we would like to think humans are.
While she has never indicated that she would run for president,
If Elizabeth Warren were to become president, I think she would make a terrific one, having a lot
of experience and education, not only in politics, but in helping others in her positions.
She has both her head and her heart in the right direction.
Unlike our current president, she is experienced, humble, compassionate, and very intelligent.
The country would be far better off with her at the helm.
From Wikipedia;
Elizabeth Ann Warren (née Herring, born June 22, 1949) is an American politician and academic serving as the senior United States Senator from Massachusetts, a seat she has held since 2013. Warren was formerly a professor of law and taught at the University of Texas School of Law, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and most recently at Harvard Law School. A prominent scholar specializing in bankruptcy law, Warren was among the most cited law professors in the field of commercial law before she began her political career.
Warren is an active consumer protection advocate whose efforts led to the conception and establishment of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She has written a number of academic and popular works and is a frequent subject of media interviews regarding the American economy and personal finance. Following the 2008 financial crisis, Warren served as chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel, which was created to oversee the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). She later served as Assistant to the President and Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau under President Barack Obama. During the late 2000s, publications such as The National Law Journal and Time 100 recognized her as an increasingly influential public policy figure.
In September 2011, Warren announced her candidacy for the Senate, challenging Republican incumbent Scott Brown. She won the general election on November 6, 2012, becoming the first female U.S. Senator from Massachusetts. She was assigned to the Senate Special Committee on Aging; the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee; and the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
Other than that you have the right to complain about by blogs and you have my blessing.
Here. You'll thank me. Who knows, maybe others will thank me.
And I am not American, not a Liberal or even a liberal, politically generally I am a bit right of centre. I take flak for my right-wing views, visiting your blogs makes me feel I'm not too bad.
You should visit other blogs occasionally, pry your head open, enjoy yourself a bit. I keep thinking there's a person in there somewhere, not just a political troll.
No matter what Elizabeth Warren's DNA test Shows there's no GeneticTest to prove you're Native American.
So she's a fake as she can be.
That is harsh.
Want to join the Cherokee Nation? You might be one of the 750,000 Americans who claim to be a rightful member, but you’ll need to prove it. In order to gain membership, you have to use birth and death records and other official documents to show you’re a direct descendent of somebody listed on the Dawes roll, a tribal census taken from 1899 to 1906.
cool:
Itr mentions the Indian Child Welfare act.
First of all, she is not claiming to be 100% Native American.
Secondly, the DNA test DOES indicate, that her genetics are likely part Native American.
Whether she is partially or fully accepted into a tribe is up to the tribe, not her.
I don't think she was trying to suggest that she was part of a tribe.
Believing that she was part Native American while growing up, may have urged her to at least
embrace Native American culture and plights and perhaps identify with such.
If someone tells me that they are part French, or Italian, or Brazilian, I would not chastise them,
for being so, or even identifying with that culture.
It may be important to them. Either way, it should not be important to anyone else.
Get over it.
Ughh...Aborigines heap on warpath!
They heap PowWow for Princess Moonbat Feathers!
