The Eleventh Hour of The Eleventh Day of The Eleventh Month, 1918...
The 100th anniversary of the Armistice that silenced the guns of the First World War.

Observed as Veterans Day in the US.
Commemorated as Remembrance Day in many other countries sad flower

And largely ignored in Germany - not without reason.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

If you call him Tim it doesn't confuse Auto-fill.

When y'all call me mic, Auto-fill doesn't correct it cuz it reckons you're calling me a microphone.

Take THAT stupid Auto-fill tongue

Mercedes and LJ,
I am glad to wish you both happiness filled with family, friends and fond memories.yay
I usually get very homesick in the Fall but this year will be very different.

Please keep me in your prayers I am making some of the biggest changes
in my life.

People can exhibit some very high or very low thresholds for pain, noise,
temperature (physically) or abuse,
drama,isolation and change.(mentally).
I know these do not always have negative consequences and can
be learning experiences in life.

We all have the subtle awareness of change in our lives.Be thankful!

There are two aspects that are intangible and connected to every
life: Love and God.
For me, November is when I am the most mindful to harvest my life and give thanks for the fruits of the Spirit.

" the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Happy Happy to all...wine

Beautiful scenery pics.
Happy Thanksgiving, Ash! wine
The best to you and your family.

All personal convictions aside, I believe many bloggers here have a great deal to be Thankful for as this year's harvest is shared with others here in the form of reunion( Redex and GG among a few others;), new friendships ( match closing their doors) and the obvious coupling that spills over is infectious.
We have a lot to be thankful for whether new or old here. And lets say we assume our site's mods survived as well. Happy Thanksgiving Mods!wine bouquet yawn
My particular joy is seeing the new holiday ecards and I hope to send, create or receive a few.
We do have the best and most
creative people here.

Karen Carpenter's Thanksgiving Song

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and this beautiful song by the Carpenters is the closest thing we have to then singing a song befitting the holiday. It was written by Felice Mancini, the daughter of celebrated composer Henry Mancini.
Live version. Just beautiful!

Karen and Richard Carpenter recorded it for the beautiful, Grammy award winning Tan Album, (officially known as "Carpenters")
"Sometimes, not often enough
We reflect upon the good things
And those thoughts always center
Around those we love
And I think about those people
Who mean so much to me
And for so many years have made me
So very happy
And I count the times I have forgotten to say
Thank you, and just how much I love them" bouquet
