INSECURITY

insecurity
gnawing away their insides
turns to nastiness

(Senryu)

If someone does not approve of certain actions of a person, does that mean he/she HATES that person?
Labelling others as HATERS, MORONS, LOSERS, IDIOTS, IMBECILES, etc., merely because they may not approve of the actions of a person is childish, immature and reflects a certain measure of psychological insecurity.
If you do not agree with the views of others, then criticise their views logically and constructively rather than resort to name calling and deragatory remarks.

(Some of you may be familiar with Haiku.
It's a form of Japanese poetry consisting of three lines:
line 1 - 5 syllables,
line 2 - 7 syllables,
line 3 - 5 syllables
Haiku deals mainly with Nature.
Senryu has a similar format but its focus is on human behaviour.)

Hello Socrates handshake Good to see you. When it comes to others having different opinions than mine, I enjoy sitting and discussing their points of view, maybe I haven t heard all the facts, maybe I m looking at the situation wrong. confused Arguing, yelling, and name calling only causes broken friendships.
I agree entirely with your words Socrates. thumbs up
Comment on their god
Prepare yourself to be clawed
Can’t see right from wrong
Hi socrates it appears to be part of human nature, I can turn my back and move on.
I cannot imagine a world were every one was kind and accepted everything for how could we learn from bad if we did not have it.
Peace comes from within first i reckon.

hope you are well
Hi 1to1to1

"maybe I m looking at the situation wrong"

No, you are not!
I think you have a healthy approach to verbal interaction on the blogs.
zerobalance

“Name calling is not a CRIME”

I agree!
But I think that, among adults, it is a reflection of their psychological insecurity.
Daniela

Thanks for your kind comment.
Molly

Great Senryu!
Some people are "right fighters" regardless of who or what it costs them.
EXRED

How are you? Keeping well, I hope.
I must admit I did not make the connection initially with exred and redex.
Glad to see you back!
Thanks for your comment.
Kal

Thanks for reminding me of “imbecile”.
Yes indeed, it is a certain blogger's favourite label of others.
I have added it to the blog.
I've been called an imbecile and a moron joy joy

Nonsmoker was also called a moron by the same person.

He's gone now.
Agree Socrates and One.

head banger

I enjoy reading different viewpoints and increased understanding of those viewpoints.

We are all a work in progress...we don’t grow if we shut out communication, whether we agree with them or not.
I may not agree with everything you say Molly which I am sure is vice versa, :) but you are no moron.

Just because someone disagrees on something does not them classify them as a moron or an idiot.

I often enjoy your input on various topics...we may not agree about God but I respect your opinion and your right to it.

I would hope for the same....we all hope for the same.

Otherwise CS would be a very stifling place to visit.
cheers
nonsmoker is missing, i saw him first in 2015.

One word is missing "PUNK" I got this name in 2015 !!! laugh
Hi Socrates i could not get back as Redex so hence the handle.

I never mastered Senryu but maybe have another look. However a Hauku for you corrections gratefully received

wings outstreched
cormorants gather to feed
fish scatter laughing

Wishing you well
oops haiku i blush here
Calm, you have always given well-thought out responses to posts handshake

I don't have an issue with people who believe in a god where that god represents goodness and kindness and puts humanity first.

But when people use a god for their own misanthropic agendas, and use a god to try to justify their own unnatural prejudices and bigotry, then I have a problem grin
Ty, Molly...handshake

It’s difficult with so many divergent opinions, but I do believe as adults we can share ideas without getting into a mud fight. laugh

We don’t only connect as singles, we connect as full persons with varying life experiences/backgrounds and a wonderful forum to share such differences, always with an open mind to learn something new, as another poster stated.

"Some people are "right fighters” regardless of who or what it costs them."

I assume your use of the term “right” refers to right from a political perspective and not from an ethical perspective.
Calmheart

“We are all a work in progress...we don’t grow if we shut out communication, whether we agree with them or not.”

Great observation!
Bloodyawful

I do not think the labeling of others as HATERS, MORONS, LOSERS, IDIOTS, IMBECILES, etc., was done in affection.
Molly & Calmheart

Glad to see both of you handshake
Red

I sent you an email with my comment on your haiku.
No socrates44 I'm not speaking in political related terms at all.

Say for instance if you and I were having a conversation and I say you were wrong and you thought that you were wrong and we continues to argue about whatever it was and you refused to admit that you were totally wrong and even though you were actually proven wrong.
Corrected answer.

No socrates44 I'm not speaking in political related terms at all.

Say for instance if you and I were having a conversation and I say you were wrong and you thought that you were 100 right and we continued to argue about whatever it was and you refused to admit that you were totally wrong and even though you had been actually proven wrong.
Bearwoman

Thanks for your response to my last comment to you.

If, as you say, someone was proven wrong and he/she refuses to admit he/she is wrong, then perhaps,to that person, it is the validity of the proof that is questionable.
Socrates, I thought EXRED was EXPIRED abbreviated.

Oh my eyes.laugh

Welcome back, EX. We’ve missed you.
socrates44 In regards to the validity of the proof being in question could/would be very possible.

There are times when I still don't understand of why some people think that naming calling would still be necessary.I could never ever comprehend of why some people just refuse to sit down and discuss things in a rational civilized way.
Thank you calm i have had so many kind welcomes my heart is aglow. It is also good to see so many old friends here too sending hugs.

Sorry Socrates for using your blog
@EXRED
