Zenvo - what is it?
Back in 2004, a small company put Denmark on the map, when it comes to car production. That company was Zenvo, and it was founded by two guys, who aimed to make a luxurious, high-performance automobile, capable of playing with the big boys over at Lamborghini and Ferrari.The result was the mind-blowing ST1, a brutal beast with 1104 horsepower, from a 7.0 liter Corvette V8 engine. The design was aggressive and still extremely striking, and it kick started an adventure that few believed in, even me. I though "No way in Hell can this succeed!", but they are still here, 14 years later.
So, how did this brutal machine look like? It looked like this:

My first reaction was "Wow! That looks amazing!", and maybe, just maybe, this would be a success.
Fast forward to Top Gear testing the car. It was a PR disaster! The car caught fire, and it ended up being slower than a family car. But, in Zenvo's defense, Top Gear tested the car in undriveable conditions. A very wet track, and the setting in the most brutal position, made the car a handful to control.
Since 2012, Zenvo has been owned by Russian investors, but they are still based in Denmark. The factory is an hour away from me, which is very weird to think about, in a way.
So, this Zenvo.. How much is it? Well.. You see, that's the thing.. If you have to ask, you cannot afford it. But it is at least 1.8 million dollars. And the new one is even more expensive. It is called the TSR-S, and it is a road legal version of the TSR, which is the racing version of the TS1 GT, which is a further developed version of the TS1. It sounds confusing, but it really isn't.
The really great thing about this car, is that it is extremely easy to drive. It drives just like a normal car, and it is not uncontrollable like the Pagani Zonda R is. Well, it might be super hard to control when you go full Rambo mode in the TSR-S, but if you drive it like a normal car, it behaves just like a Golf. Or so they claim it does. I haven't actually driven it yet, and I doubt I will ever get the chance. Next year, the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix is on, and if the Zenvo is there, I will definitely go for a ride in it!
So, ladies and gentlemen - introducing the Zenvo TSR-S! A 1170 horsepower animal, capable of going from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, and it is limited to 202 mph. It has a new wing, that reacts to the steering input, and it is the first on any car ever! "But Danny, what does it look like?", I hear you ask. Well, I am glad you did, because it looks like this:
