Port left when facing forward
starboard right
Power gives way to sail
Port is red wine so has a red light, port has four letters as does Left.
Every time I've been on a ship, I can never remember port from stern. I can't seem to retain that.
It makes no difference.
When you retire it gets weirder, your thoughts.
It was "I LEFT my RED-headed girl in PORT"
