A possible permanent employment on the horizon?

Today, while I was cleaning the pretty dirty floors at the storage part of the job where I am on a 3 month trial run, I talked to my mentor. I told her that I really loved coming there, and that I hope that the others were satisfied with my performance there, since I am pretty good at what I do (their words, not mine). My mentor said, that they are VERY happy with my performance. So it kind of sounds like I will have a job there once my trial period is up in March. It would literally mean the world to me, if I was hired on a permanent basis, since I really do love the work.

In other news: I bought a new phone today, since I cracked the screen on my other phone a while back. The one I wanted was too expensive, so I settled for something less expensive. It's still pretty rad, though. It has dual cameras on the back, so it's amazing to take pictures with.

It was cheap as well, which makes it an even better deal! What kind of phone is it, do I hear you ask? Well, I am glad you did! What I bought was a Huawei P Smart. I know that Huawei has a somewhat sketchy reputation, being involved in espionage and everything, but I trust the brand. Of course, if it turns out that they indeed HAVE been spying on people, then I will drop them like a sack of potatoes.

Earlier today, I heard something about a crash that happened here in Denmark. When I was on my break, I looked at the news: A semi truck trailer had been blown off a freight train, and it hit a commuter train, killing 6 and wounding 18. What a horrible thing! Of course, seeing that the truck was carrying beer, some people began making "jokes" about their beer being late. 6 people just died, and all you care about is your beer? You disgust me!

Anyway, to end on a light note: Possible permanent employment to me! I really hope I get that, because the job is fantastic!

A job you call perfect. So happy for you. Wish some of us here could write letters of support to the bosses. Yes, The crash apparently took half a dozen lives---freight and passenger trains on a bridge between two islands. Just be mindful, that with all the things going on in industry with buyouts and job shifting, If for some reason it doesn't work out, don't let it reflect on yourself. Always work for good workers, and Denmark isn't exactly the worst place to look. Best.
People make sick jokes when something is too big for them to cope with. It doesn't mean they don't take it seriously, they just can't let it have too much of a negative impact upon their psyche.

Well done for impressing your employers. I really do hope (and believe) all will go well for you.
Nice one! Sounds like this year is starting out well for you. I confess to being a bit jealous of your Huawei P Smart....beautiful phone. I went for the Pocophone and I'm pretty happy with it so far.
People make jokes about others' misfortune/tragedy....until it affects them personally.
